while the woman was more than ready to come home and help take care of her father, the man having made so many of his own sacrifices to help her get to where she was at now, she couldn't lie that by this time she was ready to get out of this town again. there were too many places with painful memories, not to mention faces she didn't want to see. because of this she tried making it her focus when having to leave her home in order to run places to stay on task. no dilly dallying, and definitely no catching up with anyone that seemed even remotely familiar. she'd left this place years ago and didn't plan on staying any longer than she needed to.
this was her plan when going to the hospital to arrange payments for her father's treatments, and she'd done pretty decent all the way up until catching the elevator to leave. she glanced at a passerby long enough for recognition to register in the other's face, star vaguely remembering it was a girl from her homeroom - though she wasn't planning on having any painful small talk today. the telltale sign of a voice calling her name made the woman walk faster, seeing the elevator closing mere feet in front of her. she wasn't certain which direction it was going, but she bounded onto the lift knowing anything was better than what would have come from that - or so she thought. a few heavy breaths escaped her as she tried to regain her composure, turning to face forward before half acknowledging the only other person, not realizing just who it happened to be. "sorry, crazy ex," she lied with a forced chuckle to try an explain her sudden sprint. clearing her throat, a beat passed before she actually took in the other standing beside her, eyes growing almost to size of saucers as she registered. "seungmin?"
