Of Dragons & Witches (chapter two)
part one - part two -part three
A/N: Just like the last time, you can thank @nervous-collection for this. Their post about D&D and Sanders Sides is what gave me the original idea. Also, be sure to thank all the wonderful writing blogs here on Tumblr (especially @iassureyouicannotwrite !) ,I would definitely not have the courage to post this if it weren’t for them and their amazing writing posts. There were far more positive things than I expected for the last part and I just wanna say thank you all so much, it definitely went much better than I was thinking it will! Also, please, if you see any grammar or spelling mistakes tell me, English isn’t my first language so it’s kinda hard to find them. I really hope you like this chapter.
Feel free to let me know if you want me to add you to the tag list!

"Alright!", Roman happily clapped his hands and reached for the papers. The game was about to begin.
He had been waiting the whole week to finally play D&D. It was Saturday night and they had finally all managed to agree to meet up in Patton's and his room.
Virgil ended up joining the game too. He even bought along a friend. His roommate Thomas loved the game when he was younger and Virgil didn't have the heart to leave him behind.
They were all sitting together now. Virgil was practically lying under one of the beds on his stomach with just his upper body out and propped up on his elbows with Patton sitting on the bed above him and messing his hair up every so often. Virgil tried to pretend it bothered him even though they both knew he actually found having someone playing with his hair relaxing. Thomas was leaning with his back turned to the wall on other bed together with Logan while Roman on the other hand was sitting criss-crossed on the floor just beside the nightstand that stood between the two beds. They were chatting along and getting to know each other while Roman was searching for the papers he had written the main storyline on.
As he was reaching for the papers though, his hand hit one of the upper drawers and the glass that was sitting on the top of the nightstand toppled over his head and fell. It hit the floor with a sharp thud and shattered almost instantly.
"Ro!", Patton all but screamed and immediately slid on the floor beside him. "Are you alright?"
Virgil peered from under the bed to see what happened, the sound had him shaking, while Thomas and Logan leaned over them from over the bed.
"Are you hurt?", came a question from Logan. That was what pulled Roman away from his initial shock. Prior to that, all he was thinking about was that he didn't remember putting the glass on the nightstand. Patton's frantic searching and looking at his hands and head made his brain shut off for a second.
"I'm alright, no need to worry", he laughed it off and got up along with his roommate. "It must've been too close to the edge. Just give me a second to clean it up and we can get the party started."
"You sure you're okay there Romano?"
"Of course. Virge", he replied and turned to face the almost hidden figure under Patton's bed. Virgil scoffed at the nickname.
"Don't call me that."
Roman smirked. Virgil has been jokingly calling him all sorts of wrong names ever since they met up to go through his character. Roman had accidentally called him 'Virge' and the boy swore to never call Roman by his real name again. Instead of being horrified though, Roman found it adorable. "As soon as you stop calling me Romano, Virgin."
Virgil was about to reply to that, but a loud knock on the door stopped them all. The door opened before anyone had a chance to even walk over to it.
"I heard a strange sound", the guy at the door started talking without wasting any time on saying hello, "Now, I don't really care what ya'll are doing, but it sounded kinda dangerous and sharp and I know my brain wouldn't let me sleep if I don't check everyone's still alive and well sooo..."
"Remy!", Patton was the first to recognise him. "Everything's alright, it was just a glass"
"But you don't seem so alright", Thomas commented, "Have you slept at all?"
"Sleep is for the weak", Remy waved him off before turning to leave, "Well if everything's good I'm gonna go, have fun you guys!"
Roman stopped him. He was throwing the pieces of broken glass into the bin beside the doors and thought more players could only mean a better game. Besides, he knew Remy from before. There was no chance the guy will ever fall asleep with all the buzzing and the noise of the dorm they were in. It was a Saturday, after all. He was surprised Remy wasn't out, too. Only one more reason to invite him.
"Wanna join the game?"
Remy though about it for a moment but soon closed the doors behind him and plopped down on the floor beside Virgil. "V! Didn't see ya there!"
Virgil smiled and waved in return. "Dad dragged me along, he promised fun but so far we've just been watching Prince Uncharming over there avoid glass."
"Dad?", Logan questioned and tried to stifle a laugh.
Virgil simply shrugged, "Well Patton does act like one."
"Doesn't seem to mind being called one either", Thomas added and smiled at the beaming Patton.
When he was finally done with cleaning up all the glass he could, Roman claimed his spot beside the nightstand once again, this time with all the papers he needed.
"Shall we?"
"Take it away, Sir-Sing-A-Lot!", came a fast reply from Virgil and Roman couldn't help but to chuckle.
"Joke's on you Emo Nightmare, I love that one!"
"This is gonna be so fun!", Patton stopped them from bickering any further as he excitedly clapped his hands.
Roman returned to his papers.
"Everyone knew there were only so many planets in our solar system, but there was one more. One planet that human eyes and technology couldn't see. Not yet, anyway.
It was a planet similar to ours, with rivers, forests, deserts and sees. The only difference was, the humans and animals weren't the only ones living on it. All myths were alive too.
The kingdoms that existed there were united through the council of all the kings and queens that ruled them. However, the harmony that they held onto for so long had been disturbed.
The council had called out to their people to find the bravest of their brothers and sisters who would be willing to help."
"Alright, time to roll the dice.", he added happily and they threw it one by one. By now, they had agreed Remy would play as an Elf. Logan tried not to mention that not being quite right since he didn’t have his character all figured out like the rest of them. It was against the current rules, yes, but he figured he could always go back to that if he decides to continue playing.
Thomas was the first to throw. He got twenty. Strangely enough, so did the rest of them.
"Curious", Logan commented while Roman shuffled to continue the story.
"Great news!", he announced, "You all get invited to step in front of the council!"
Even if Roman's voice was happy and a friendly sounding one, it still rang in their ears as everything suddenly went black.
Thank you for reading! ❤
