I enjoyed watching the revival of King of the Hill. And I love seeing Bobby and Connie together. I hope there will be more episodes of the show and have Bobby and Connie dating and seeing them stay together get married move into a new house and have cute Asian American children.
Seasons not over yet but so far, how would you rate season 2 compared to season 1? I think the first was better personally. I'm not saying that because I like Charlastor. I think the show works better when Alastor interacts with the gang. We haven't gotten that so far because season 2 is more focused on humbling and humiliating him. I miss him with hazbin crew.
I don’t actually think the issue this time is season vs. season — it’s the sheer number of characters we’re trying to follow within an 8-episode format. When you have a cast this big, it’s almost impossible to give everyone meaningful development, and the pacing ends up feeling scattered.
Alastor stands out because he’s such a compelling character that people latch onto him immediately — even when he’s getting beaten down or sidelined. Meanwhile, we still haven’t really spent enough time with half the core cast to fully understand their arcs.
Charlie has been spiraling since episode one, and instead of growing as the main character, the story keeps pushing her into the background. They dropped huge things like Angel killing his dad and… just didn’t follow up on it. Vox and the Vees are having the time of their lives in their villain era, which makes everyone else look a bit flat in comparison.
And seriously — why introduce Baxter only to give him zero screen time? What about Heaven?? These are massive story threads that clearly exist, but we just don’t have the runtime to explore them.
Hazbin has so much potential, and that’s the frustrating part. This ensemble format really needs 10–12 episodes per season (at least). Shows used to be flexible like that — especially ones with worldbuilding this dense. If Hazbin is breaking streaming records, I don’t understand why Amazon isn’t investing in slightly longer seasons.
Don’t get me wrong: the world is fantastic, the characters are fun, and a lot of it is genuinely enjoyable… but with such limited time, the story can feel kind of mid just because it’s forced to rush.
For what it’s worth, I do think Season 2 has better pacing overall — but it still has that back-and-forth energy, and honestly? Alastor needs to stop brooding in the corner and actually go talk to Charlie already.
We needed 10 episodes
can i be honest with you guys? i'm gonna like arcane season two, even if some of the writing is bad. seriously i'm enjoying myself even if i think some of the character arcs are wonky of some conflicts needed more time to develop
