Around 2016, I was surprised to see how even My Little Ponies (cartoons geared at young impressionable girls) has been molded to mimic Hollywood's warped sense of worth. It was only one episode, but the little 12yo I was watching it with informed me this is normal for the ponies to be spending all day glamming up & going to salons & shopping till they drop. It's so moronic. This also bleeds into cheap productions about old women's dream to own couture made in Paris, as though one's entire life should be devoted to working fingers to the bone just to be seen in something like that—and to share this sickness with others is a form of kindness to be rewarded by others' admiration & charity. If you want to see it, you don't have to subscribe to Disney, it is everywhere..I just do not actually have time for any of it—I mean it just doesn't hold water, it's so vapid. Experience the anxiety of wondering if s/o you're going on a date with will be interesting or boring to engage with or vice versa is exhausting enough—I can't thank GOD enough that moment in time didn't last long before HE started to fill me & shifted my self worth onto HIS Presence.
