(this chapter is likely going to me MASSIVE and I’m still on the fence about splitting it into two parts… BUT I’m going to give you the deets on the WHOLE chapter) The twins are turning ONE, so it’s officially time to start trying for baby #3! Tommy and Buck both take major career steps forward, and an unexpected illness means a return of the Buckley parents. 🙂↕️

Tommy wakes up on his garage thinking that it’s November 7 2024, and he is still with Evan. He finds out it’s actually exactly a year later, he has cut ties with pretty much everyone he knows, and Evan has moved on to someone else.

Then Sal arrives demanding Buck come with him to help a seriously ill Tommy, and the truth is finally revealed.

premonition
another idea I had for RWRB that I’m giving to BuckTommy instead 😂 - Buck starts getting a very short, very vague premonition of a random— seemingly important— moment in his future. It starts the night Tommy comes to the loft after the basketball incident.

He can hear birds chirping; he can smell freshly cut grass. We need to move! He hears himself say. How are we going to get everything packed loaded and moved if everyone keeps dragging their feet!? The brightness fades just enough for him to catch a glimpse of the inside of a moving truck; an arm wraps around his body and a kiss is pressed into his cheek. Probably not on the same day, he hears before his vision return to the loft.}}

Different times through their relationship that Buck thinks he can’t love Tommy anymore than he does in that very moment…
{{The sun had just about set, but in the remaining light Buck takes in every aspect of the man beside him; his Tommy. The years have been far kinder than he’d thought they would to a couple seemingly fearless first responders, but the wear and tear left behind from them is visible nonetheless.}}
