it was an understatement that he HATED his job. he was supposed to be in a position to help people, but the greedy bastards above him only thought about getting more money; as if they didn’t have enough of it already. and even doing what little he could to help people, it still never felt like enough. perhaps that was why he started fighting crime behind the scenes. at least he could feel like he was doing something WORTHWHILE. that, even though it was small things, he was doing something to help people. he didn’t need the title of mr. incredible, he just wanted to feel NEEDED.
after he got fired from his desk job, honestly, he didn’t care. he was glad to be out of that hell hole. however, he knew that his family needed the income. he needed to find SOMETHING. when he’d gotten the message from mirage and began working alongside her, finally feeling like he’d found PURPOSE again, it completely changed everything. things began looking up again, not only for him, but his family as well.
he’d just gotten back from a mission, feeling really good and it certainly shows in his mood. he’s nothing but grins as he walked over to his wife. grabbing her a the waist and pulling her close to him. “hi honey.” he greeted her and leaning in to kiss her. “it wa good--GREAT, actually. how were things at home while i was away?”
