Hiii, this can be an art prompt or just an excuse to ramble :) But how’s Lemonflower and his kids doing? They’re just The Family Ever to me and I’d love to hear more about their dynamic. I know Yarrowbloom and Coldstep were pretty strained for a while, but now that they’re both a bit older and have partners and are getting ready to have kids of their own, has their relationship improved at all? Is Lemon on good terms with them both? And on that note, how is he handling the fact that he’s about to be a grandpa x2 amidst his grief?

(also- how does Quailchirp factor into the equation? Does she get along well with her dad and older siblings? Has she sort of helped them bridge their gap, or is there one side of the family that she’s closer with than the other?)

Lemonflower is!!! holding up the best he can lol. I think losing Robinclover was really hard on him, and he - like Coldstep - will use any opportunity to brood.

It is pretty hard to be grouchy when you have new grandkits running around!! I think Coldstep is being rather stubborn about Yarrowbloom and theirs relationship, but when both your littermate and mate are having kittens around the same time (and also time processing and growing up a bit), it forces you to be at least on friendly terms. Pumpkinleaf and Yarrowbloom are good friends and plan on litter-sitting for each other.

I think Quailchirp is a helpful bridge in the fact that she's on good terms with just about everyone in her family, no one has beef with her except for Hollowstripe. But at the same time because she's a singleton kitten who kind of showed up at a tumultuous time, she's not super Close with anyone in her family either. non problematic girlie stays in her lane
