(In the Chantry’s library, Strauss flips through brittle pages of a tome bound in dragonhide).
"He sought to bring back the soul of Eurydice—not in body, but in memory. To live again through knowing, through recall. He vanished before completing the work, swallowed by the Realm of Magic itself."
"So we’re chasing a ghost who wrote a spell to talk to another ghost."
"Romantic. Tragic. Like the original myth of Orpheus."
"The ritual was lost as their creator descended into the Realm of Magic’s untamed depths. Only Tess Dyer, Orpheus’s daughter, knows the path."
"Find Tess in the Realm of Magic. If she’s absent from the Sanctum, Morgyn will guide you. But beware—untamed magic does not suffer fools."
(Suzana uses her Glimmerstone and the gang is transported to the Realm of Magic. In the Sanctum, she meets Morgyn Ember).
"I seek Tess Dyer, and her father Orpheus. Their knowledge may help me to uncover a betrayal plot against one of the Elders of my sect."
"Tess wanders where the wild magic thrums—near Dragon Valley. But tread lightly. My predecessor’s legacy is... volatile."
(Morgyn gestures elegantly, summoning a pulse of swirling chaotic energy. The portal tears open, humming with raw power.)
"But beware, Tremere. Untamed magic has no master. And Orpheus... was never meant to be found."
Morgyn: Any minute now...
Marcus: Dude...go to sleep...
Morgyn swears that the witching hour is the best time to catch ghosts in action. Marcus’s room just so happens to be Penny Pizzazz’s old room, so guess who gets to stay up with Morgyn and wait to see if a ghost makes an appearance?
