Me being innocent and naïve: Hey, premarital sex is discouraged in our church, right? So asexuality is probably no biggie--it might even be considered a strength!
Me, actually being smart and honest with myself: There's so much emphasis on postmarital sex and families and children in this church that I kind of just want to curl up into a ball and cry
The asexual Mormon experience: Growing up convinced that every Mormon had the superpower ability to never want sex like those poor normal folks out in the rest of the world. Then realizing that apparently Mormons want it too and they're just supposed to resist these strange urges you've never had. When did that happen?
