The cursorial tyrannosauroid Moros intrepidus is chasing a bird (possibly enantiornithe). This theropod is known only from the right hindlimb from Utah, and two premaxillary teeth may also belong to it. The proportions of the Moros's leg, as well as the strong compression of the metatarsal bones, strongly resemble ornithomimids and indicate the ability to run very fast. The name "Moros" in Greek means "harbinger of darkness" and refers to the dominance of tyrannosauroids from North American dinosaur faunas that followed the appearance of Moros. Interestingly, according to the results of phylogenetic analysis in the description, this taxon is a close relative of Asian genera such as Timurlengia, that is, it could have migrated to America from Asia. Moros gained some celebrity by appearing in the certain sequel to "Jurassic World" and the "Prologue" to it. The dinosaur from the movie was about the size of a crow, whereas the real predator could grow up to three meters (the holotype was an immature individual).

I decided to draw this work when I found a couple of empty notebooks. I hope this will result in a whole series of similar small drawings. :)
