I don't get why people act like Pierre's desperation to keep his store afloat is somehow comparable to Morris being a capitalistic, greedy, corporate bootlicker who acts like a goddamn cultist instead of a store manager. One is mildly annoying and should be yelled at, the other is outright fucking predatory and actively trying to destroy a small town for no reason other than his own avarice. "All will be united under Joja" my ass, somebody hand me some explosive ammo 'cause I'm gonna blow this bastard all the way to the void!

as much as i love morris he would be pro ai. im so sorry. hes a manager dude theres probably so many ai posters in the jojamart -evil tuesday qi guy (p.s. how do i make it stay blue it keeps glitching help)
.
honestly dont got a lot of strong hate towards any characters in sdv. i fw whoever i fw
like yeah i understand characters can be shitty (morris being a capitalist manager, pierre also being greedy and kinda a bad father, blah blah blah im not writing everyone's flaws) but does it truly affect how i feel when i play? no, not rlly. im not gonna let itty bitty game characters ruin my fun
i do like hearing/reading essays and arguments on each villager to either justify or demean them cuz i find it interesting on both perspectives but all in all, i be vibing with any of them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The only evidence we have of Pierre's sexism is Abigail's dialogue about it, and Caroline saying something about trying to convince him to make dinner. Those things somewhat imply that there is off-screen sexism, but can also be interpreted as Abigail lashing out in temper and Caroline simply not feeling it. This goes back to the interpretation thing the other anons brought up. I don't get hoe people can get this up in arms about stuff that is so dependant on your own personal interpretations and having to decide one way or the other. I personally really like that the writing is this vague, because it let's us form our own opinions—but it also let's a lot of people get reeeeeaaaallllyyyyy weird about things that just straight up are not confirmed.
I hate Pierre and Lewis because it's fun to have someone to hate in the game other than just Morris, who I also hate but who I never interact with because I never go into Jojamart. But some of y'all make hating/defending these dudes your whole personalities. Maybe let's all go outside and touch some real grass ans talk to some real people and remember nuance.

Sam 🤝 Shane
Fuck Joja Mart, fuck Morris

I’m going to pray that I don’t fight a battle with the character limit but uhhh here’s a silly little rant about ky interp of Sam I want more than just the two sdv fans on my blog to see! Jodi and Kent had Sam young, in high school or shortly after, and were pressured into marraige (which, they wanted to do but they didn’t feel ready for in the time when Sam was born) They moved to the city, and during Sam’s younger years that’s where they lived, once Kent was old enough to join the Ferngill Army he did, hoping he could provide for his family like this. As soon as Sam was old enough for day care, Jodi was working a part time job at Joja, and these circumstances pushed Sam from a very young age to be mature, ‘suck it up’ kind of attitude. When Jodi found out she was pregnant again, Sam was 10-11, and his parents wanted a better life for both their kids. They moved to the valley, where they could have a more peaceful life, and Kent had about a 30 minute commute to work when he wasn’t deployed. Around this time, he sat Sam down, and told him he was the man of the house. While there was definitely a lot of external pressure, Sam also put a lot of pressure on himself, which led to him ‘sucking it up’ even when there was no expectation for him to do so. His parents got used to this, and never asked him to open up. Jodi mentions canonically that she doesn’t make the boys do household chores, and this is partially out of the guilt and the feeling that she’d put too much responsibility on Sam, so at one point she stopped making him do household chores. As he got older, Sam realized he resented how quickly he was forced to mature as a child, and in his elder teen years he started to morph into the sunshiny, happy go lucky baby we see in-game. Even then he’s not good at admitting when he’s unhappy, those feelings manifest when he’s alone. additionally my personal headcannon is that he’s got ADHD and ASD, being moderate for the former and pretty low on the autism spectrum. Harvey wants to refer him to get evaluated but Sam forgot to follow up about it (further proving Harvey’s suspicion) though also I’m gonna try to wrap this up, but as he’s at Harvey’s often for various skating or dunbassery injuries, he really looks up to Harvey, as well as shane. Morris is and ass and Shane tries to take more of the shit so Sam doesn’t have to, he definitely has a secret soft spot fot sam
god this ended up so much longer than I thought and I still have more ideas so uhhh if this even gets posted or if someone reads this far, my deepest congratulations

People are so desperate for there to be the “bad” characters when there are literally villains! If u want to hate someone irrationally and not have to worry about their depth Morris is right there (-_-)
