but let me tell me you more about the tree boy okee !  he's quite the hidden treasure.

he was born in san diego, california! which is where his mom's family is from. her parents had come from mexico city in the eighties along with their children, including his mother romina. his dad was there for business school, but after they got married and had their first child, curtis decided it was tie to go back home and be with his family. romina was beyond in love with her newborn son and her husband to put up a fight.

so since mars has been a little one, he's lived in morris, michigan. they used to go back to california a lot to visit her family but as he grew older the times became less frequent.

his dad owns a bicycle shop! beep beep watch out that boys almost always on a bike!

his dad is very much a... trope dad.

marshall played baseball growing up because his dad wanted him too. they went hunting, and fishing (tho mars likes fishing), his dad didn't really care what mars wanted, because he was doing what was best for him. the only thing that wasn't his idea was learning guitar, and his mother payed for those lessons.

so the plan since day one was mars would go to business school like his old man and take after the bike shop after graduation and his dad wouldn't have to do so much work himself. that sounded great when he was kid, but getting older, he liked playing with his grandpa's camera and climbing in trees and reading books of poetry and love and studying plants. none of that had to do with bikes.

upon graduating high school, he broke the news to his old man. sorry pops marshall isn't going to go to college to be a business owner. and OH BOY that was a mistake.

growing up, his dad yelled a lot. not just at him, but he fought with his mom too. she was more loving and docile than his father. she missed her family back home but that was never an option.

this fight with his dad was... not pretty. there were raised voices and close faces and very very unkind things said both ways. at the moment a hand struck marshall's face, the fight was over.

everything was packed into a bag and marshall got in his car, left morris, and didn't look back

he toured the country for about a year, maybe eighteen months. he took photos everywhere, climbed trees, searched for his soul in places he wouldn't think to find them. when it came to an end, he went to new york, and there he became a tour guide. showing temporary people the longest lasting spots in the big apple. he loved his job.

but something's pulling him back home and those years have passed. guess he's back in the city! pow pow!

      what up my name’s wesley i’m 19 and i never fucking learned how to read

my pronouns are he/him & i’ve got both skype and discord, hmu and i’ll give those out or i’ll tack a mun page up eventually we’ll see idk, tumblr im is always good too! 

at the moment i don’t have anything up on jack’s character ( like stats, etc ) because i’m ngl i sent my account in and immediately fell asleep until like.. now? at 12-1am hgfjdks buuuut here’s a run down of the basics. trigger warnings: drugs mention, violence mention, my muse is a survivor of CSA and i’m briefly going to mention that at some point in this. 

jackson knight.  you’ll know him as jack and if you’re real close to him, maybe some variation of jacky -- but a word to the wise, i wouldn’t test how close you are with him by trying that nickname out. it really ticks him off when it’s out of the wrong mouth. 

he’s twenty-eight years old and he’s always lived in morris, probably always will too tbh?? he’s a bartender at some ( how i imagine it, anyways ) dinky little pub that is frequented mostly by like, sketchy people & it’s no coincidence he works there because i’m pretty sure that’s where his little gang operates out of. i don’t think they’re really a proper gang, for the record.. every time i try to picture one in this small town setting i just come up thinking of like 3 dudes, maybe a mobster from 1930 ( kudos to sami on that one ), and a one eyed squirrel named hank, idk, idk. 

in all seriousness though whatever the gang is, probably like 20-30 people npc  or otherwise, i imagine it’s where most of the drugs circulate in this place and jack’s probably a muse yours would hit up for some bud. he’s been at it since he was literally thirteen years old and in a town as small as this, i really doubt that’s gone unnoticed reputation wise.

backing up a little bit though and delving into his history a bit is pretty much a necessity to understanding who jack is as a character though because here’s the thing -- had things been a little different when he was young, he wouldn’t have gone down the path he did. but the facts are this: he was thirteen, his little brother noah was only nine, and their single mother could barely keep a roof over their heads, let alone keep up with noah’s hospital bills / medical expenses. you see, noah was -- and is -- a really sick guy, he has CVID and things were real tough growing up. jack took it upon himself to start bringing in money, but there isn’t a whole lot a thirteen year old kid can do that is yknow.. legal. so he meets a guy named david -- an npc who’s a father figure of sorts -- and starts getting involved in some heavy shit. i won’t go into detail but this is important to know: he didn’t do anything he didn’t have to, whether or protect himself or someone else... in particular, noah. that kid is his fuckin’ world. 

( csa mention coming up )  so, backing up further, i really just need to emphasize that jack has been protecting his brother for their entire lives -- in some ways noah knows, and in some that he doesn’t. as far as his mom and noah know, their dad just left, no word, no explanation, but to get right to the point, he had been abusing jack between the ages of 5-7. he stopped when he was around eight, but then when jack noticed him talking to his younger brother more and in an effort to make sure the same never happened to him, he confronted his dad and basically gave him an ultimatum ( while holding his dad’s own rifle at him, little jack was playing no games honestly ): leave and don’t come back, or i’ll tell and shoot you & that was just that. this is something that only jack knows to this day and it’s a very genuinely bad case of repressed trauma, but he simply isn’t the type of person who would seek help. it does affect him a lot, via nightmares and certain other distrust in relationships etc, as trauma will do to a person. character development wise, one of my goals is definitely to have him get some help / work through those issues but due to the nature of them, it’ll be kept extremely vague and heavily tagged if it even remotely comes up. ( csa tw end. )

when he was young, he missed a lot of school -- i mean, a lot of the time he was skipping to work, and even more often he’d be taking care of his brother at home. by the time he hits 10th grade, he drops out. to this day he remains without a g.e.d or anything of the sort, but i think it would be an interesting plot point if he decided to get it finally?? see, i picture him and his now 24 yr old brother live in an 2 bedroom apartment together (maybe one day i’ll bring him too~)  but now that noah’s grown up, he doesn’t need jack so much and all this time, he wasn’t really living for himself, you know? he doesn’t have the slightest clue what to do with himself if hes not providing for / protecting someone.

despite the whole rough, tough guy thing he’s got going on, jack’s a pretty mellow guy in most circumstances? i mean, he’s quiet. he keeps to himself and abides to that whole “only what i gotta do” when it comes to talking to people too. he’s a little dumb honestly but the guy has a 9th grade education at best go easy on him

he had to grow up real fast 

he’s really good with kids & anytime he sees them involved in shit they shouldn't be, getting them safe is his number 1 priority... kids are like, his soft spot i guess?? like if you hurt kids ur dead to him

honestly if not for the whole ‘been in a gang since 13 and probably-killed-a-man′ thing hes really ?? not that bad a guy like i keep laughing every time i say that but what can i say man like his moral alignment is probably chaotic good 

he does have two main interests: horror & poetry?? he wouldnt be caught dead admitting the latter but fun fact! his brother noah is a horror comic book author that goes by n.K and several of jacks poems / riddles have been featured in his books.

HELLO HI -- i’m sami and if that name sounds ~*familiar*~ it’s becuase i also play this little bean here and just love y’all so much i had to bring another muse too. :)

so so so -- zara. my daughter. my Child. 

she’s a chicago native but her dad is from morris, so growing up she spent a lot of time there particularly during the summer and winter holidays. 

and to be really honest? she never really loved it; coming from chicago, morris wasn’t her favorite place in the world but she would always come (especially in her teenage years when she had the choice not to) because of the fact that it was the one and only time that her parents weren’t working and they could be something closer to a proper family. 

but lbr by 16, zara wasn’t coming to morris just for her family :) the summer she’s 16, she meets a boy who lives in morris and he becomes her first love and every summer after becomes about seeing him. and no matter what’s going on for them romantically -- whether they’re dating other people or what have you -- the summer is theirs and they just fall right into each other.

and that goes on for 5 years -- 5 summers -- until zara is 21 and about to go into her senior year of college. she ends up leaving morris pregnant (though she doesn’t find out about it until well into the semester) and that sort of shatters any illusion she had of her summer love / life being removed from the rest of the year.

early on in the pregnancy, she makes the decision to carry the child but give them up for adoption. and though she feasibly could have kept it hidden from her parents up until graduation, she decides to tell them a couple months after finding out -- and they don’t react very well. in fact, her parents all but disown her, letting her know if she even has the baby, she wouldn’t be welcome in their home after that. at this point, zara is realizing that her family’s reputation / illusion as the perfect family matters more to her parents than actually being a good family and she decides then and there to have the baby and keep them. half because she doesn’t want to be alone and they are the only family she has at that point and half because she wants to prove to her parents -- and to herself -- that she’s capable and deserving of a real family. 

so zara makes it through her senior year and about a month after graduating, her daughter kiara -- kia for short -- is born. and after that point, zara kind of goes into boss mode. she recognizes that she’s coming out of school with an INCREDIBLE responsibility and her entire game plan shifts from just trying to get a job for the sake of having something out of college to crafting a career and making money to support her family. so cue the decision to move back to chicago and start a business right out of college. zara studied marketing and interned at a number of firms throughout college so essentially she uses her connections to get a small but sturdy base of clients and from there, grows on. three years into the firm, she starts to attend business school at uchicago and essentially just pours her heart and soul into hitting the ground running and building some real money / status for herself to support kia.

THAT BEING SAID -- she is super duper careful to never let work interfere with the family. she has only one rule and that’s to never leave kia alone to wonder if she cared about her job more than she cared about her. if work things come up in the middle of dinner, she takes kia with her and makes it dinner on the go. she never wants her daughter to doubt her love or devotion and will do whatever it takes to avoid that.

so fast forward through the 5 years, her business is thriving and she’s graduated from business school and it sort of hits her that she really ? doesn’t feel right knowing that kia doesn’t know her father and vice versa. so she’s basically come back to morris for a little while to give kia a chance to know her dad as everyone pays respects to the mayor. during that time she’s still working (getting shit done remotely ay) but her real focus is spending time with kia, introducing her to her dad, etc.

personality: zara is pretty guarded when you first meet her but more than anything else, it’s a mechanism to make sure that the people who are coming into her life are worth having around (particularly for kia’s sake). so though getting close can be a feat, once you’re there, you’re there for life. she’s an incredibly warm and amicable person and in a really odd way, it’s what’s made her successful at her job -- she has a knack for being able to read and respond well to people’s emotions. shes 150% a people person. 

other random traits: overbearing/overprotective (she’s a mom in overdrive at times and it can be endearing but also just overwhelming), playful, sensual, intelligent, eloquent, ambitious af -- don’t step between her and her dreams / goals man, equal parts independent and dependent -- she functions really well on her own but she also has a v healthy sense of when to open up and lean on other people for sanity’s sake

connections i’d love: the father of her bb obvi :) they haven’t spoken in the five years since she got pregnant and sort of buckled down to raise kia so there’s a lot of unfinished business outside of her introducing him to their child ; someone younger who used to crush on her when she visited for the summer who she would always be like lol ur such a kid though but now he’s all ~*grown up*~ and still out here flirting and she’s naturally flirting back ; ppl she can take care of because zara is 150% a mother hen and goes out of her way to look after literally everyone ; friends, new and old -- especially old bc she’s kind of grown a lot since the last time people have seen her around ; sexual tension is always fun, especially with someone she hates otherwise lolol ; neighbor and occasional babysitter for kiara -- lots of home cooked food is probably involved here

what it is, what’s up? im (ga)brielle and i just had the best plank salmon y’all. but in more important news, lemme tell you about my charrie mr. saori!

so i have his bio on my page, here. but i’ll give you a brief synopsis.

he’s a director from melbourne originally. a regular degular shmegular bloke. he’s not a player but he has commitment issues. he hates being in one place for a long time. one state of mind. in one relationship. it’s all very constricting to him - which is why he cheated on his fiance.

homegirl went low-rent Gone Girl on him (i only say dat cause i have no plot with said supposedly dead fiance...yet), faked her death, and now she wants her revenge. he’s not an asshole, so he felt bad about her “death”, and he feels exceptionally guilty now considering he feels like he’s been seeing glimpses of her and certain things aren’t adding up. so he’s going through some internal conflicts. he’s also really close with his siter but hasn’t seen her in a long time. 

but he left houston when his fiance passed and came back to morris, which is where he spent 3 years of his high school. 

so yeah, connections? I’m down for anything. fellow aussies. people who may have went to school with him when he moved from australia at 15 - 18. then he moved to houston after hs until around 24.

hello, petals!! I’m gonna introduce you to my bb that is daniel dalgaard (literally got his last name from gossip girl, no shame.) I also play audrey so like this if you wanna plot with danny boy here. Here’s a link to his connections page btw. (tw: mention of death)

* Daniel moved to Morris when he was twelve. He barely knew anyone but he gradually started to make friends, and of course, there were people who disliked him. He played lacrosse his sophomore, junior, and senior year. he was even team captain his last year.

*  Daniel never tried to hide his sexuality, he’s a proud bisexual, loves men and women. in his teen years, he went on a lot of dates, played the field, had a few not very serious relationships. he’s never been the type to believe in the love at first sight junk or the “soulmate” stories. he’s just the kind of person that if he likes you, he likes you, and if he wants to date you he’ll try his best. not saying that he’s never cheated because there was an incident or two in his past.

*  Daniel left Morris for four years. he got into a pretty serious drunk driving accident that ended up killing his best friend and the girlfriend that he had at that time. since then, he refuses to drink alcohol, or do anything of the sort, like drugs, etc. he already lives with a huge amount of guilt for what happened and he wouldn’t want to make a mistake like that again. he came back because of the horrible passing of the town’s mayor and sometimes being back making him a bit bitter.

*  he ended up making something of himself, becoming a high school English teacher. it wasn’t the job he always had wanted but he found himself drawn to it. he likes teaching things about the crucible, macbeth, romeo and juliet, things of that nature.

*  he can be very critical. he’s not afraid to state his opinions and tell someone if they’re being stupid. he likes to watch things from afar, not really participate in things all that much. he will though if it’s something that actually peaks his interest or he’s having a good day.

* He’s a very big coffee person, always drinking it.
