On This Day in Baseball History: Morris "Moe" Berg (March 2, 1902 - May 29, 1972) is born in New York, NY. Berg has to be one of the most fascinating figures in Baseball History. While he was mainly a backup catcher, he worked as a spy for the Office of Strategic Services during World War II. The book The Catcher Was a Spy: The Mysterious Life of Moe Berg by Nicholas Dawidoff has to be one of the best Baseball books I've ever read. And it was made into a movie with Paul Rudd and Guy Pearce. #MoeBerg #MorrisBerg #TheCatcherWasASpy #NicholasDawidoff #BaseballBirthdays #BaseballHistory #HistoriaDelBeisbol #Baseball #Beisbol #BaseballSisco
