Dragonborn Winners

My bibling sent me a meme collection and they fit pretty well with the prominent Dragonborn across my fics

1. I’m taking “amulet” to mean any sort of mcguffin-esque item. In this case, Miraak did not succumb to anything of the sort (cursed knowledge doesn’t count). However, he was very affected by the dark magics of Apocrypha, he absolutely killed more than 50 people, and he traded his soul to Mora.

2. Martin managed to stave off the dark magics of the Mysterium Xarxes pretty well. However, he very much succumbed to the Amulet of Kings, he counts all of the deaths at Kvatch to be his fault so he refuses to take the “killed less than 50 people” star, and I think sacrificing yourself to become the vessel of an avatar for a dragon god counts as selling your soul.

3. Echo definitively killed less than 50 people! Wow! However, they succumbed to the call of the Elder Scroll, get VERY tied up in Sanguine’s dark magics, and also traded their soul to both Mora AND Sanguine. Way to set a record?

4. Mankar’s business relationship with Dagon actually doesn’t count as him trading his soul away! In fact, he took extra steps just to make sure that NO GOD would get his soul when he died. However, he also succumbed to the Amulet of Kings, he proudly dabbles in dark magics with very little concern for his own well-being, and he is 100% responsible for killing… so many people.

Oblivion Sanguine

I’ve been meaning to take a crack at a design for Sanguine’s Oblivion look for so long but I couldn’t confidently come up with anything other than “Skyrim design but fat” and I wanted to do so much more. I also had the idea to draw his Skyrim design as some sort of taur just for fun. Fortunately I stuck those two ideas together and made it a canon design to my fic

Also on the list was a design for pre-story Martin and Sam Guevenne. Martin is a young and budding trans man in the cult of Sanguine, hating his body but wanting to live the showy lifestyle of a Sanguinite and getting help from Sam to transition further. Of course, Sam is a jackass at this point (not about the trans thing, just in general) and even though their highs are delicious, their lows are pretty traumatic, and the two eventually split.

20 years later, Martin has fully changed course and now the events of the Oblivion Crisis come to play. He and the group go to Sam in order to request the Sanguine Rose from him, but Sam has a lot of pent up feelings triggered by the fact that Martin fucking looks like him??

There’s a joke on tesblr that Sam Guevenne in Skyrim looks a lot like Martin because he misses him. I thought it’d be funny if it were actually Martin that ended up looking like Sam due to his own issues. Lmao.

In the aftermath of the Crisis, once Martin is gone and no more amends can be made, Sam will leave Oblivion for good and reshape his mortal form. He can’t stand to see Martin every time he looks in the mirror. He hates changing the parts of him that he liked. A new form will suffice for as long as his absence lasts.

BANG BANG BANG

This is a rough look at my upcoming Oblivion fic which follows Ruma Camoran as the last Dragonborn to survive the Oblivion Crisis. Baurus repeatedly attempts to change her morals to align with the imperial throne, but she does not budge. Baurus gives up and pursues the Knights of the Nine, much to Ruma’s chagrin, but when she tries to intercept she finds herself in Pelinal Whitestrake’s shadow and is cursed with his own madness.

This was supposed to be a 1 day animatic but ended up turning into a 3 day animation ,:] whoops. I had fun tho. Hopefully I can start working on my fic trailer again now that this is out of my system

Mankar Camoran at the TES Gala!

(Made it in just before the deadline lets fucking go)

Mankar Camoran is dressed to offend at the gala, showing off a combination of Mehrunes Dagon and Akatosh!

The second set of arms are fake, attached magically by magical strings (don’t ask). These of course represent Dagon.

The wings on his capelet represent Akatosh’s wings and tie in nicely with the rest of his color scheme.

In a mockery of the gods, his belt and neck corset are shaped like chapel windows you can find in-game.

His robes are meant to look like blood from all the cult sacrifices the Mythic Dawn does.

Speaking of the Dawn, he’s wearing a physical sunburst halo behind his head, appearing saintly.

He wears the Amulet of Kings very proudly.
