You never expected your mom to fall in love again... let alone with him.

The Grand Priest.

He met her by accident: she wandered into a rift in space-time (long story), and instead of erasing the anomaly… he helped her home. She thanked him. He found that fascinating; mortals rarely thanked him sincerely.

He began visiting. Quietly. Subtly. Always at the edge of sunset.

And your mom made him laugh. A sound the angels hadn’t heard in millennia.

Eventually, she introduced you to him, and something in his expression softened in a way no god had seen before.

A mortal child. Mortal habits. Mortal chaos.

Yet he adored you immediately.

And when he announced to the angels that he’d taken a mortal partner and now had a mortal stepchild, everyone broke into eleven varieties of confusion, jealousy, curiosity, and mild panic.

• No one has EVER seen him step closer, tilt his staff, and subtly position himself between you and danger like that.

• He watches you do small things, tying your shoes, doodling, complaining, like they’re rare cosmic phenomena.

• He doesn’t force angel discipline on you, but he tries to guide you without restricting your mortality.

• When you show him something you made, a drawing, a snack, a project, he gives a soft smile that could collapse universes.

• When you cry? He freezes. Absolute panic. When you laugh? He stares like it’s art.

He won't say he loves you out loud (he barely says that word), but the way he watches over you? The way he subtly teaches you cosmic etiquette because you're "part of the family now"? Yeah. He’s a good step-dad.

He bows politely to you — yes, a literal angel bows to a mortal — because you're Daishinkan’s stepchild. Shows no jealousy, but definitely watches you like you're a small, strange puzzle. “Fascinating. Mortals speak before thinking. I envy that freedom.”

Sour is jealous, beautifully, silently jealous. He doesn’t act out, but his posture stiffens every time Daishinkan treats you gently. “He has never spoken to me like that…”

Eventually warms up and treats you like a cute mortal mascot.

Immediately confused. Mortals have emotions and unpredictability... things he considers "glitches."

He keeps distance. A lot of distance. “If I observe long enough, perhaps the mortal will… stabilize?”

Confused at first, but treats you with strict politeness. He tries to teach you etiquette like an angel trainee, but stops after Daishinkan gives him a look.

Over time, he becomes protective in a big-bro way.

Looks scary. Actually very soft with you.

He stands like a bodyguard whenever you visit. Offers you candy in an extremely awkward way. “Mortal child… must be protected. Tiny.”

Immediately loves you. (Not romantically :v) She finds you hilarious.

Teases you and Daishinkan endlessly.

“Stepfatherhood looks good on you, Father.” Daishinkan: silently dying inside

Shows you martial arts moves but only the soft, safe ones.

Absolutely ecstatic. Whis LOVES mortals and their quirks. Probably tries to feed you too much dessert.

Becomes your honorary older brother. “How adorable! I shall teach them to cook— oh dear, they burned water.”

Does NOT like this at first. He believes angelic hierarchy is sacred — and mortals shouldn't be close to Daishinkan.

But after seeing how sincerely you care for him, he slowly melts. “…Fine. I suppose they can stay.”

Surprisingly likes you. You’re mortal, which means unpredictable, which he finds entertaining.

Makes jokes you don’t understand. Uses you to annoy Rhou. (I think that's the 9th kaio's name? idk)

WAY too excited.

Almost asks to study your biology until Daishinkan gives her a warning glare.

Still loves hearing you talk about dumb mortal things like school, pets, snacks. Writes notes about everything. “Mortals are inefficient but fascinating creatures. I like this one.”

At first: absolutely no interest. She sees mortals as fragile.

After watching you stand up for yourself once, she gains respect.

Trains you in basic self-defense if you ask (Daishinkan reluctantly allows it).

Instantly motherly. Treats you like her own child the second she sees you.

Gives subtle advice like: “Do not touch divine artifacts, dear. They explode.”

Daishinkan trusts her around you the most.

Thalia Grace x Male!Mortal!Reader.

You met Thalia completely by accident — probably during a monster attack. You weren’t supposed to see that kind of thing, but you did… (well not exactly, it’s a lion for you.) and instead of running away screaming, you grabbed a metal trash can lid and tried to defend her. She thought you were either insane or brave (maybe both).

She tried to keep her distance at first — “You’re a mortal, you shouldn’t get involved with this.” — but somehow, you always found her again, and she started secretly liking that you didn’t back off.

Thalia teases you mercilessly. If you ever say something cheesy or bold, she’ll roll her eyes and call you “dork,” but the tips of her ears always go pink.

You’re one of the few people who can make her genuinely laugh. She’s so used to being tough and serious, but you manage to get her to loosen up.

You’re completely grounded and human, so Thalia likes hanging out with you when she wants a break from the chaos of the Hunters. You remind her of the “normal” life she never got to have.

She takes you on late-night motorcycle rides — she swears she’s careful, but you’re not so sure every time lightning flashes across the sky when she revs the engine.

The Hunters were extremely skeptical of you. A human boy around their lieutenant? Disaster waiting to happen. But after you helped them fight off a dracaenae one night using a flare gun and sheer luck, they started tolerating you. (Of course, you didn’t see it as a dracaenae but that’s not the point.)

Thalia pretends she’s totally fine and professional around the Hunters, but they’ve all caught her glancing at you more than once.

You respect the Hunters’ vows and never cross boundaries, which makes Thalia feel safe — she knows you’d never try to make her choose between you and her duty.

Whenever you get injured, Thalia blames herself and gets furious — at the monsters, the gods, even fate itself. You have to calm her down before she accidentally calls lightning down in a panic.

She doesn’t like showing weakness, but you’ve seen her cry once — after a bad dream about her family — and you didn’t say anything, just held her hand until she fell asleep again.

You’re the only one who can get her to slow down and actually rest. Sometimes that means sitting under a tree with your head in her lap while she absent-mindedly twirls a lock of your hair with lightning-crackling fingers.

You call her “Sparky” once. She zaps you (gently), but the nickname sticks.

She loves to challenge you to random competitions — races, arm wrestling, climbing trees. She always wins, but she secretly adores your determination to keep trying.

Summary: Annabeth, Thalia and Luke are wandering after they're secret place is destroyed, then they meet you. Warnings: Platonic relationship of course. 'Weird.' You thought. 'Why were such young kids alone at night? With no grown ups.'

You are seeing them trought your window, they are just sitting in the bus stop, but it doesn't look like they are taking a bus. For various reasons..it's 1 am; the oldest of them is at best 15, maybe younger..so they couldn't come from a party or something like that.

You feel symphaty for them, maybe they runned away? But they didn't look like they were siblings...

You get out of the window and start making tea and see at the drawer if you have any cookies, bad for them (and for you) you didn't have cookies, they can content themselvs with tea.

As the tea is ready you take three cups and put the tea in them. 'I hope they like lemon tea.' You think.

As you get out of the house, still in your pajama (you cross your fingers for the neighboors to be sleeping), you get close to the kids.

You see that all of them became alert, you see the girl with black hair clicking on her watch (and it came out a umbrella??), the little girl carrying a knife (what were the kids these days into??) and the older boy had a baseball bat. 'More efective than the umbrella.' You thought

"I don't want to make you bad. I just thought that children your age shouldn't be away from home this late." You say trying to calm them down.

"What am I holding?" The girl with black hair asks.

"An umbrella??" You look confused as hell.

But as you say that the kids take they're things away and look more calm.

"It's that tea?" The little girl asks smiling.

"Yeah, but it's a lemon one." You say. "If you don't like it I'm sorry."

"It's more than fine. Thank you." The boy says. 'It's the first time he is talking.' You think and give the three the tea.

"Thank you." The little girl says and the other girl whispers it.

"I don't want to be rude, but why are you outside this late?" You ask. The three look at eachother, with expressions like 'should we tell?'.

"We ran away from home." The boy says.

"What really?" You ask suprised. "Were your parents bad? Or.." After you can continue the black haired girl says:

"You have no idea how bad." The boy looks at her with a alarming look but she just shrugs.

"I see, I'm sorry to hear that. Do you have a place to go?" You are really worried about these kids, they look like they ran away ages ago.

"No." The little girl says and you feel really bad, 'Should I say that they can saty the night at my house?' And you make a decision.

"If you want, you can stay the night with me. I insist."

They look at eachother again, 'They look like they are discussing with they're eyes.' You think.

"That would be wonderful thank you." You smile as the boy says that.

"Well, then.." You go to tour door and open it. "Make yourself comfortable." The three enter the house.

"You can sleep at the living room. I am at my room if you need something." You say. "And you can use the bathroom of course."

After you say that the boy gets up and goes to the bathroom, the black haired girl sits at the sofa and the little girl watches the books at the shelf. "You can take one if you want." You say to her. "Really?" She aks smiling. "Yeah, go ahead."

She takes one of the books, 'Ulisses', 'Weird taste but okay.' You think.

The boy gets out of the bathroom and after him the other girls go.

The boy helps you change the sofa to a bed and you discover that his name is 'Luke', the little girl's is 'Annabeth' and the blue eyed girl is 'Thalia'.

When they allare again at the living room they rest in the now bed.

"You can watch TV before sleeping if you want." You give them the remote.

"Thank you...?" Annabeth says.

"Y/N." You tell her and you put some chips and sandwichs at they're bags. "For your next journey."

Annabeth smiles at you again and Thalia nods.

"Thank you, for everything." Luke says.

"It's nothing, don't worry about that." You smile at them and go to your room, in the middle of the night you go see how they are, they are all sleeping, you smile and you turn off the TV.

Falling Prompt

"Through one method or another, the reader ends up falling in the presence of a character who's secretly crushing hard, who catches them and feelings ensue."

I'll start this one off with...

Ne Zha x Reader

"While training on a floating pavilion, the reader has a close call with the edge, and the Third Lotus Prince swoops in to the rescue."

Just as you'd practiced a hundred times in preparation, you braced yourself when Ne Zha charged. The Fire-Tipped Spear was aimed in your direction and his Fire Wheels were burning at full speed, making him quite an intimidating sight even if you knew it was all just training. The motion he'd taught you came naturally despite your worry.

Parrying the move with all of your might, you felt the heat of his attack surge past at your side, and for the briefest of moments met his eyes. There was nothing but triumph in their depths.

"Excellent!" he praised as he turned his wheels to skid to a halt, following the perimeter of the floating stone pavilion. The magical stones of your chosen training grounds sparked as his momentum burned out, leaving dark singes even after the flame died. "You replicated the move perfectly; just as I expected."

The Third Lotus Prince actually sounded a little breathless, which seemed odd considering how easy such a move had to be for him. Too happy with your own accomplishment to look too deeply into it, you smiled in return, sighing and stepping back to lean against the stone railing on the edge of the pavilion. The maneuver had taken a fair amount out of you, and the breeze of the open sky felt good. It was already cooling the scorch marks your training had left in every direction.

"Thanks, it wasn't easy." you said after catching your breath, opening your eyes to find him at your side. His hair caught the breeze with an almost unnatural amount of grace, and a look at his pointed ears reminded you that despite how down to earth he was with you, he was not a being like yourself. That made his choice to mentor you all the more unique.

Leaning on his spear and looking out over the clouds, he smiled contentedly. "For a mortal, you make it look so…" he stopped as he realized his words didn't convey what he intended, blushing bashfully as he cleared his throat and turned to you with a look of apology whilst doubling back. "Uhh, that is… you've advanced far faster than I ever could have expected! You're truly a natural!"

Shifting back to a state of calm at your expression of reassurance, he smiled softly as he continued. "As your mentor, I'm quite proud."

You let the praise wash over you, all of the hours of work finally paying off… You thanked him before noticing a crack in the stones below that hadn't been there before. It wasn't alarmingly deep, but it was new, and not the only one. Days of continuous training had worn the magical material down. "If we want to keep practicing, we may need to find a new training spot." you pointed out, wondering if he had some other locations to choose from. Stepping along the railing and trying not to look too far down, you felt along the many burn and blade marks the two of you had left behind. It was like a map of your progress, and you'd almost feel sorry to part with it. Hopefully repair was an option for magical training grounds like this one… "All of these cracks are… already in need of some repairs."

"That can be arranged." Ne Zha replied, sounding a little distracted. You turned and found him looking your way, something that he tried to hide with a rapid turn of his head and a cough. "Uh! I can contact some of the Palace Engineers, they often work with such-"

As if you'd tempted fate, the stone beneath you cracked away from the rest of the foundation, losing the ability to stay afloat and falling to the earth far below. It happened so quickly your training had little time to react, and you were lurching to the edge in moments. A pink and gold blur moved at equal speed in the corner of your eye.

"Y/N!"

Ne Zha charged faster than he had minutes before, using a burst of fire to propel forward and loop his arm about your waist and hold you close. Just as quickly he jumped backwards, maneuvering with his spear for balance and sliding over the stone until you both were secure in the middle of the large pavilion. The structure was still after the initial chunk fell free.

It took you a moment to realize you'd been hugged to his chest, and a moment longer to notice how tightly he was holding you and how his heart was pounding beneath his armor. Something like fear was forcefully banished from his eyes as he looked down at you, once more sounding somewhat breathless.

"Are you alright?" he asked quickly, looking you over as the fact you weren't going to fall to your death finally dawned on you. 

"Fine!" you replied quickly, still quite frazzled but not just from the near death experience. With his arm still holding you tight, it took a bit of effort to look back at the spot you'd just been standing. A chunk of rocks just your size was missing from the edge. "I didn't-"

Closing his eyes with an expression of shame, he interrupted you. "I should have seen that the structure was unstable. As your mentor, it is my responsibility to keep an eye on things."

Your shock faded with a burst of sympathy for his guilt, and you saw his expression soften when he opened his eyes. For a moment he just took you in, the reality of almost losing you weakening his defenses. "But this time…"

You saw something more than care in his eyes. "I was… distracted."

Your widened eyes snapped him out of what he'd said, and he quickly set you down on your feet, spinning a full half circle too late to hide the blush that blossomed across his entire face. Coughing and straightening his armor aggressively enough to shake loose a few petals, he kept his back to you. "But, for now, let's… take a break! I'll be over there!"

With that, he was across the Pavilion, leaving you with many questions and no hope of answers.

I can just imagine the older gods turning their eyes away from how the more frivolous ones just fawn over you completely. Maybe you're a muse, or a nymph, or a demigod, or just a sweet little mortal who they've let wander into Olympus, but either way you're passed from hand to hand like you're a bottle of fine wine, many fingers gracing whatever they can reach of you so they can take a drink from your sweet lips. Dionysus is one such immortal who just can't get enough of you, keeping you in his lap with strong hands as music plays softly and the lull of being in the presence of so much divinity casts a haze over you. He lets your legs drape over each side of his thigh, your body pressed up hotly against him just so that you can't hope to stand, not without him guiding you into another kiss before you can move to someone else's lap. He thanks Hermes under his breath for bringing you here, alcohol tinging it as it puffs against your bare neck and his hands roam up and down your back, just barely covered with silken finery spun as beautifully as if it were crafted by Arachne herself. You've had your head laid in the lap of Aphrodite, your arms hooked around Hermes' shoulders as he carried you up the mountain, your fragile body surveyed closely by Ares' steely gaze, and you've even been admired by afar by Artemis and her twin and paid compliment by the lovely, wise Athena. Part of the reason why you've been held within Dionysus' reach is to keep you away from Ares, he warns, as he whispers into your ear that he can feel how much the god of war itches to stretch you thin over his hands from all the way over here. "You're so delicate, aren't you? We can't have that," he teases in a way that flutters your heart with love, or maybe it isn't quite the kind of love you think it is, but some kind of yearning affection for someone you could never and should never come close to. But that's part of the allure you think, and certainly none of them seem to mind--Aphrodite moves from her place beside Athena to approach you two mid-kiss, her gentle hands on your arm to pull you up, finally, and take you into her chest. She's been so lonely over there, she insists, and it's unfair to keep such an adorable mortal all to oneself. It's so unfair, in fact, that you'll be passed on so much through the night that you will meet Dionysus' lap once, twice, three times more, and as the wine continues to flow, your clothes will become a distant memory as the gods each lay their claim to you.
