i think in this au, mr matthews is a mysterious figure controlling everything in and out of the newark harbor, which explains how he was able to get them all a private boat. i really like lottie's up to date cunty expensive ass outfits she would go so bonkers out on that island

im dividing the au into two versions, one with mermen and one without (im a fan of canon compliance so im more invested in the one without but im nothing if not a people pleaser so heres your merman travis)

i tried to keep hair as canon as possible so we can still tell who's who but. ofc theres historical innacuracy with that. i also recognize that womens soccer wasnt really a thing until the early 20th century but that would make this american edwardian and not american victorian.
