I've been looking forward to working on this piece. I sculpted the original piece with fimo then poured a silicone mold. This is the first resin casting. Going to be using lots of natural tones with this one, try to go with the original deaths head moth pallet. A moth sits delicately amongst the base of my animal totem tattoo. It is to me a symbol of my constant battle to find the light amongst the darkness. My intuition has lead me from the depths so many times when I feared I would never see a gleam of happiness again. I have a deep trust in my inner compass. Last night as the full moon rose, my emotions tipped over and I rode a cathartic wave of self doubt and utter sadness until I felt the tears running down my chest. Today I put that energy to work in the studio and birthed this beautiful dark moth pendant. Inlaid with a remarkably beautiful moonstone and strung with a single aura quartz point.
