Yay leggie frens! I have a hissing cockroaches. I try to keep up to date with new care guidelines, but to be safe, do you have any tips for keeping them happy as possible? :)

Hissers are precious babies. I used to have a colony of flat horn hissers but they all got some sort of infection. ;;I have a few tips!Feed a variety of foods; they will eat some of anything you can give them. Mine enjoy fresh citrus the most but also really love apples.

They get most of their water intake from the fruits and juicy stuff they eat but it’s always nice to gently spray the edges of their terrarium with water they can drink. You can even put out a little dish of water for them like they use for reptiles.

They sometimes have issues with individuals chewing on each other’s wings and to prevent that feeding a high protein diet seemed to work. I especially like to sprinkle in a bit of dry cat food for them to nibble between larger feedings!I hope that helps!
