The River Runs By Me, Away from the Mountains (Jasper National Park) by Mark Stevens

While at bridge crossing around the Maligne Lake and River with a view looking to the southeast. The setting is using the river flowing by as a leading line into the image with the more distant ridges and peaks of the Queen Elizabeth Ranges as a backdrop. I decided to keep a leveled-on view with the more distant shoreline as I felt blue and with clouds complemented the earth-tones present in the lower portion of the image. A balance, if you will. The rest was later making adjustments with control points in DxO PhotoLab 6 to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted for the final image.
