Since the trials had reached a slow season, Valerie decided just to head out to explore a little. She was hoping to find out if what she had observed happening on Melemele was just a localized experience.
Despite her partner pokemon being of lower levels, the pokemon on the route didn’t seem to be acting aggressive. Many did approach, but as soon as Valerie tried to get Flutter or Styler away, the pokemon turned on their own.
On the third bridge down, Valerie saw a trainer. She raised her hand with the capture styler, hoping to avoid a battle. “Hello!”
