Sometimes I am more hurricane than woman but I disguise the winds tearing about in my breast as words or else my footsteps would be thunder and lightning would flash in my eyes and everyone would whisper that the mountain wind had grown a body but nobody remembers the hissing of the pines or the sting of cuts on shins or the brightness of the stars and I would be an echo.
