⛰️ In life we go through mountaintops and sometimes we also go through valleys. There are things in life we cannot avoid - the valleys of pain, suffering, hardships, trials and testing. While these are "given", we can still hold on to the comfort that He is with us, guiding us and protecting us. Sure, mountaintop experiences with God are one of the best things we want to always have however, there comes a time when we too must descend. 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐬, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐬. Notice also the use of the "shadow of death" - a figurative expression of the things we fear and one of it is death. Death is the great unmentionable reality that reminds us that our life here on earth is only temporary and somehow it just scares us. But for those whose shepherd is Jesus, this verse reassures us that with Him on our side there is nothing to fear for death is but a shadow, and it does not have the power to harm the Lord's sheep. No evil shall be allowed to befall you for the Lord is always with you and He watches over you. (Psalm 91:10) What valleys are going through today?
