I’ve had this monstrosity finished for a couple of weeks now but only just getting round to posting on here.

Behold the mighty Mourngul!

I was really hesitant about the colour scheme for this fellow, I had this idea to do a dark head and centre mass fading to ghostly pale green at the extremities, but wasn’t sure I could pull it off. Having worked up the courage to do it I’m actually really pleased with how it looks!

The poor horse on the base was a lot of fun to paint and it’s the first time I’ve painted a GW horse in about 15 years 😅.

Finished a bunch of stuff this weekend! I'm quite impressed with the mourngul model- it is HUGE and really intimidating in the table. Originally I was going to remove the horse but decided I liked how it looks after all. I've also finished a unit of 10 skeletons that I've had kicking around for a couple months, and painted up some ironbreakers all undead-like to be a bodyguard for Snorvald, counting as grave guard. Let me know what you think!

Something a bit bigger to bolster the ranks of my Nighthaunt... a Mourngul!

It’s all built, just need to do some minor filling of gaps around the shoulder joints and then it will be ready for priming.

Only problem is, I’ve run out of Corax White spray and GW are all out of stock! So I might need to wait a bit longer before this dude gets some paint on him.

Since I finished my terrain backlog, I decided to start prepping a nice treat for myself, a Mourngul from Forgeworld!

I’m not planning to paint this just yet, but I did spend some time cleaning and removing the mould lines etc, so it’s almost ready for spraying. I’m planning to paint this in the first few months of next year to go with my Nighthaunt.

Also. I built the Mourngul, it will be the counts-as Daemon Prince of the Alpha Legion force. However, fluff-wise, this will be an incredibly powerful eldritch beast that is slaved to the will of the Sorcerer. This model is the first model I have ever pinned together, I will need to green stuff the gaps but this looks amazing. I can't understate how creepy this model is, it exudes horror and fear. Part of me feels like I will wake up tonight and see thing staring back at me.
