Happy Birthday crime author Quintin Jardine.
Jardine was born in Motherwell on June 29th 1945 and studied law at Glasgow University.
A varied career followed, including as a journalist, a political information officer, and media relations consultant. He gradually turned to novel writing, and his first book, Skinner’s Rules, was published in 1993. The Bob Skinner novels are set in Edinburgh, and feature deputy chief constable Bob Skinner, marketed as “Britain’s toughest cop”. There are 26 novels in the series, I’ve read about half of them, the most recent was Private Investigations in 2016. I find them okay, although not as compelling as Ian Rankin’s Rebus, Skinner is more about the procedural side of police work.
His second series of novels feature private detective turned Hollywood actor Oz Blackstone. The first of these novels was written under the pen name of Matthew Reid, but subsequent books used the Jardine name. Oz Blackstone died following the events of the novel For the Death of Me, and Jardine has continued the series but now features Oz’s ex-wife Primavera, and moved the setting to Spain.
In the Oz Blackstone novels, Oz occasionally appeared as an actor in fictional films based on the Bob Skinner novels.
He left Motherwell in 1968, and now shares his time between Gullane in East Lothian, and L’Escala on the Costa Brava in Spain. Both are settings for characters his books, Bob Skinner and Oz Blackstone respectively. Jardine's latest book, Secrets and Lies is number 26 in the Bob Skinner series.
He is married to his second wife Eileen, and has four grown-up children.

Eleanore's movelist has been updated with big changes and it's online again. Here's a preview: * DOA inputs have been deleted. The inputs are based on Tekken ones solely; * Added new moves to reflect Tekken 8 Heat System; * Some throws animations have been changed; * Parry system revamped: Eleanore has defensive techniques for any kind of attack; * New attacks in general. The most important change is the addition of a new temporary stance called Qīngliú chūshuǐ, which gives access to more attacks.
The big has been done. From now on, there will be only small changes sporadically.

ZAVIMARO: 1/2 Of the Shinigami Summoning:
Deaceiption:
Zavimaro is a locust born and raised alongside his younger twin brother Zabimaru and the personal summon of the 18th head of the Shinigami clan. The locus and wasp have the same DNA but it manifested differently during the fertilization and incubation process. The true size of the locust is unknown as the amount of chakra used depends on the size of the locust that appears. The locust had two sets of wings that allow it to fly great distances after using its large muscular legs to get it air bound. He lives in the Shikkotsu forest normally below ground in a nest made by the wasps feeding on the vegetation which allows it to better construct antidotes. Like the summoning of the Sannin Tsunade, its size is relative to the chakra used which prompted its master to improve upon the summoning jutsu used him as well as his brother.
Personality:
Zavimaro is quiet and more subservient to its master especially when compared to Zabimaru or his mother. It addresses Ryukyu with the highly respectful honourific "sama" or "Lord". He speaks to others as if above his station often refusing to look them in the eyes. Though he and his brother possess the same kekkeigenki it manifested differently in them both much like their form. As a herbivore, he feeds on many plants allowing his body to adapt and change constantly forming new antibodies which aid it in healing a variety of poisons.
Jutsu:
Chakra Dispersal:
Allows the user to drain or give chakra as needed. With regard to Zavimaro, this is used more to take chakra from the caster of the technique and use it for larger healing jutsu, or to use the patient's chakra to increase the speed of healing.
Blood Release Healing:
The amount of healing is proportionate to the injury allowing anything to be healed from a scratch to regrowing organs. The blood release makes antibodies more resistant to poisons which in an herbaverus insect takes the technique far higher than in humans.
Great Locust Swarm:
Splintering technique and all of the pieces are telepathically linked.
Iron count
Allows weaken or harden its exoskeleton to envelop a person and defend them against attack during an attack.
Water Release:
Seeing as Zabimaro normally healing summonings he uses his size more to evade than fight. His water releases us mostly used to create and distribute antidotes however he is capable of acid attacks of varied forms.
Summing:
The summoning and signs are the same as any other however to summon him the user has to have a contract as well as infuse chakra using the mystic palm technique. The summoning circle which appears is more peaceful compared to that of its counterpart.
Genjutsu:
Like the summoning creatures of the toad sage. The locust can cast a sound related genjutsu however this is normally done with his brother who buzzes making it far stronger. The locust rubs it's wings together combining with the sound of buzzing.
Transformation
Like the summoning of the third Zabimaro can become a weapon though this is rarely ever done as he is primarily used to heal or amplify healing techniques. His weapon firm is a shield as he is a defensive summoning to counter the offensive techniques of his brother.
