How FUCKING DARE.
calling about movers is always daunting. and it's expensive. like, i've saved for this, i'll be okay, but i shouldn't have waited until the day before my move to secure movers. #thanksprocrastination
Another moving day! I don't think I've ever gotten this many steps from something other than hiking before.
Lots of heavy things carried plus two trips to Home Depot. I got my own drill and now I think I'm firmly on the tool train. Feels good to be able to do stuff for myself!
Another day of moving to get my steps in this afternoon. My parents helped me move about half of my boxes and the contents of my fridge to the new place.
I worked up a sweat going up and down the stairs of my old apartment, but I didn't feel winded at all! NSV! I can't wait to see how my gains will play out tomorrow when we move the heavier furniture.
I'm worried about Ollie. I think he's stressed about moving and it's messing up his tummy. He didn't eat dinner today, so I'm going to make him chicken and rice for breakfast tomorrow. 🤞🏼hopefully once he smells all our stuff at the new place he starts to feel better.
I got my keys to my new apartment today. I also took the time to stop/start/move all my utilities and update my address and voter registration. I can't wait to be all moved in, but I'm still not even packed yet. Hoping to be fully moved in by Tuesday and all settled in by Wednesday.
Gym time was good today, if uneventful.
It's my first free night in a while, so I'm celebrating by taking myself to a new-to-me movie theater. I'll be wayyy out of my way, so I'm going to check out a restaurant that's been on my list while I'm over there. I'm debating between Mediterranean or Mexican.
I demolished my legs this afternoon! I wanted to switch it up a bit, so I used the leg press and hamstring curl machines instead of my usual back squat and deadlift.
The step ups killed me! I used a step that was slightly less than waist height and tried not to use anything for balance. Whew 🥵
Our teacher gave us another week for the mock trial and our team met today, so now I'm feeling slightly more in control of that situation. I have a much better handle on what needs to be done.
The leasing agent for my new apartment called me back and said she would correct her mistake and send out a new lease on Friday. The moving anxiety has abated somewhat, but I don't think I'll feel secure until I have the keys in hand.
Overall, things are getting better!! I'm going to go eat my meal prep and watch a movie and try to enjoy my free night.
