One aspect of being agender that I hadn’t really considered much of a problem until I started self-identifying that way is how it kind of breaks the standard semantic relationship between gender and existing terms for sexuality. All terms for “attracted to women” either assume a gender of the one attracted, involve attraction to other genders as well, or are nonstandard and jarringly clinical (looking at you, “gynephilic”). “Queer” is both a term I’m not comfortable using and extremely vague.
I initially though I’d just keep using “straight”, but that kind of implies I still ID as male, which feels kind of invalidating since I know my masculine presentation tends to cause people to assume that as well.
Anyway, like most things there’s not a good solution and it’s just another thing to be unhappy about. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
