Felix released a frustrated sign, sitting back in his chair and staring intently at the lopsided, droopy clay ‘vase’ that he was trying to shape. Maybe taking this pottery class had been a mistake, because he had been fighting with the clay for twenty minutes, and it was still not doing what he wanted it to. It did not help that everyone else’s vases looked great, so he did not see why his was turning out so trash. 

“I know that we learn from our mistakes or whatever, but how are you supposed to learn from what you’re doing wrong if you don’t know what you’re doing wrong?” He looked up at Shion, his brow furrowed. “Do you know how I’m messing up? It just keeps falling over and I don’t know why it won’t stand up like everyone else’s...”

There was nothing more embarrassing for Aryeh than being caught staring at her Tsukiyomi. Of course, she never did it while he was looking, and she didn’t actually do it all that often, but there were moments when she would spot him and her mind would be sent into a reverie of daydreaming about acting on her little crush. She would never do so, but she could imagine what might happen if she did.

As the man said this, Aryeh snapped out of it and realized that her little pair of hand shears was centered around a barely unfurled azalea bud. Aryeh drew her hand back carefully, a slight look of horror on her face due to her near murder of a young flower. She was meant to be trimming the dead or overgrown bits, not destroying innocent life!

The girl sighed, staring down at the ground at the strangers feet.

  It’s an old poem that he recites as he moves to grab up the hammer that he will use to pound down the mochi. Eiji, much like the poem, is simple in the statement but deep in meaning if only people took the time with him to learn it. Or if he gave them the time of day for the process of it! He lifts up his hammer and wets the end of it in a nearby bucket of water. “Or whatever.”

Despite how short he keeps them in order to properly shape wagashi, Jimin’s nails dig crescents into his skin. It’s a testament to how hard he’s clenching his fists as Shion says it, skin stretched pink, then white over his knuckles. He’s only ever been this way in front of Eiji; no one else is allowed to see him like this. But Shion isn’t just somebody else. He’s family.

“You just...don’t understand. You weren’t there.” That’s right. Shion wasn’t there when Jimin was giving it his all to support the original Mukashi-Kara with his mother and his grandparents. He wasn’t there when Jimin had started branching out into different hobbies, new territories. He wasn’t there when Jimin’s sense responsibility began to slip, and he wasn’t there when Obaachan took sick and...

Shion wasn’t there when she died.

How could he know it was all Jimin’s fault.

If Jimin had known that a casual comment from Shion about taking a break was going to turn into an argument like this - an argument that had Jimin’s eyes stinging with unshed tears that wanted so badly to fall - he wouldn’t have said anything at all. He doesn’t care if he looks pale, he doesn’t care if breathing iss a little harder than usual, he doesn’t care that he has dark circles under his slightly sunken eyes, and he doesn’t care if he ends up getting a fever.

He can’t let everybody down again.

“Well, thankfully you’re thinking so philosophically about this!” Zico huffed out sarcastically. Normally he would be more forgiving over something as simple as breaking an item in the shop. He knew well that such accidents are sure to happen with the way the store was packed to the brim. However, he was strung tightly these past few days. After having one too many close calls with his thugs getting seen and Chang’e showing up again… The god was stressed out.

“Break anything else, and I’m taking it out of your paycheck.” He knew he shouldn’t take it out on his employees but, they were closest at the moment.

For some reason, it wasn’t all the stupid jokes the kid had told. Pun after pun, knock-knock joke and convoluted stories with ironic punch lines, none of them had been able to lift the dark cloud that had been hanging over Dionysus all day. He had thought that maybe a trip to visit Zico - the current friendly neighborhood drug dealer - would at least provide a temporary relief from the spell of depression that seemed to have taken hold today.

Nothing until that simple little phrase had been able to even make him smile, yet as soon as the demigod strung together those five little words like a perfect pearl necklace, Dio couldn’t help but crack a tiny smile. The smile grew slowly across his face, then all at once the god found himself unable to restrain the laughter that began to shake him. Every joke the other had told hit him all at once and Dionysus laughed and laughed until his stomach ached and tears ran down his face. He couldn’t tell where the tears of laughter ended and those of depression began. His face was merely tear-stained and ruddy by the end of his laughing fit.

“You know something, kid? You’re right. It is worth the wrinkles.” Then he winked. “Not that gods can get wrinkles.”

Yoongi started a bit when he heard a voice, looking up from his phone and clearing his throat. He had, admittedly, been admiring a selfie that Taemin had just sent him from the set of some big photoshoot he had flown off to be a part of. He must have been smiling or something, although he had not realized that his love for his fiancé had been written all over his face.

“Oh, well…” He paused, looking back down at the photo and then turning his phone around to show the other male. “My fiancé just sent me this picture. I guess I was just revelling in the fact that I’m going to marry the best person ever.” He was not normally the type to gush, but he and Taemin were in a particularly good place, even despite stressful wedding planning, and he was just stupidly happy about everything.
