I think Mr Smithereens was the kind of person you meet and immediately like. He's kind, friendly, and just radiates a good energy.

Then you meet him with his candidates and there's something... off. He clearly cares for both of them deeply, but it's immediately obvious he has a favorite. He pays much more attention to one than the other.

And that's hard to reconcile. He seemed so kind and fair when you first met him, but here he is, almost ignoring one candidate in favour of the other.

Whenever I imagine Mr Smithereens I'm imagining Wesley Evers from The Rookie but like... in his late 50s
