Pippi Longstocking: The Strongest Girl in the World - Scene 2 (English)
B. Making Pancakes
Int. Kitchen - Pippi ties an apron tightly around her waist.
Pippi: "Now, let's make pancakes!"
She grabs a large bowl with both hands.
Pippi: "Now, let's make pancakes!"
Pippi takes three eggs in her hand.
Pippi: "Now, let's have breakfast!"
Pippi holds the bowl in one hand, and tosses the eggs in the air. She catches two in the bowl, but the third cracks atop her head.
The shell falls off, leaving the yolk in her hair.
Pippi points at it, and asks Tommy and Annika
Pippi: "You want this one too?"
The two silently shake their heads.
While speaking to them, Pippi rubs the yolk into her hair like shampoo. She then dries it off with a towel.
Pippi: "That's good, because egg yolk is actually really good for your hair. I was worried for a second."
She wipes the residue away from her eyes with the back of her arm.
Pippi: "Listen to my hair.. The more of a squeaking sound it makes, the faster it grows!"
[Tommy and Annika react to Mr. Nilsson. Pippi is on the floor; you can either have her walking with care, or knocking over the sugar bowl and spilling it.]
Pippi picks the egg shells out of the bowl.
Pippi: "Did you know that everyone in Brazil walks around with eggs in their hair?"
She takes out a bag of flour and a jug of milk from the cupboard.
Pippi: "That's why none of them are bald. Except one old man. Instead of wearing the egg in his hair, he'd eat it."
Pippi holds the flour and milk above the bowl and pours them in vigorously. There is a splash and puff.
She then takes a bath brush off a wall hanger and starts beating the moist batter in the bowl.
The dough splatters and sticks to the walls. stains the desk, and onto Tommy and Annika's face, but Pippi doesn't notice. Finally, Pippi removes the kettle from the stove and places the frying pan over the flame.
Pippi: "Then, he tried to use yolk, but it just slipped off of his bald head. It was terrible. Even the Police had to be called."
She then pours the batter into the frying pan. Pippi takes a plate and three cups of coffee from the cupboard and places them on the table. When she returns to the stove, she firmly grips the handle of the pan, and then flips the pancake into the air until it almost touches the ceiling,
and then lands back on the other side.
Pippi: "Easy!"
Tommy is pleased.
Tommy: "Hahaha! Great!"
She then peels the pancake off the pan and tosses it, landing it neatly on the plate on the table. She then prepares to bake another one.
Pippi: "Hurry up and eat it while it's still hot! I've got plenty!"
Tommy picks the flapjack off the plate, tears it in half and hands the other half to Annika and begins applying jam to his half and bites into it.
Tommy: "Mmmm!"
Another pancake lands on the plate.
Pippi: "Do you like it?"
Tommy: (mouth full) "It's delicious! It's superb!"
While eating, Annika gives a small piece to Mr. Nilsson.
Annika: "It tastes great!"
Pippi walks over to the table, sits down and begins pouring the coffee.
Pippi: "I'm glad you like it!"
She then stuffs half the pancake in her mouth.
Pippi: "It IS delicious!"
She then licks the area around her mouth.

A. Pippi awakens and her morning preparations
Villa Villekulla and the Settergren house shimmer in the morning sunrise.
Ext. Villa Villekulla - A bird chirps and sings in the garden. No one in the house is awake yet. The horse on the balcony has awakened early. He gently taps at the floor and shakes his tail.
Int. Villa Villekulla, Pippi's Bedroom - There is a lump under the bed sheet, hiding Pippi's body. Her legs stick out on the pillow. Her hands seem to "talk" along with her voice, her feet return the motion as she answers herself.
Pippi: "It's already morning. Wake up." "No, I'm still sleepy.."
She then kicks her leg out, falling off the bed.
As she stands up, she stretches her arms and legs with a yawn. She is in her underwear and her pigtails are unraveled like a porcupine.
Pippi then approaches the wash basin, takes a jug of water, pours it into the basin, then dunks her face into the water,
raises her face out, grips her pigtails with both hands one at a time
and squeezes the water out tightly, before drying her face with a towel.
She then lifts up the wash basin and throws the water out the window. The birds are surprised and fly out of the way.
Ext. Villa Villekulla, Back Side - Pippi; now in her pigtails, notices the bird.
Pippi: "Sorry, bird!"
Int. Pippi's Bedroom - Pippi's cheerful face suddenly appears in the broken glass of a mirror on the side of a chest of drawers.
Pippi: "Good morning!"
She straightens herself, jumps from the top of the chest, lands backwards on the chair and sits up. At the same time, she is already pulling her shirt on (which was hanging on the back of the chair). She then skips over to the door and throws it open with a bang.
Int. Hallway - Pippi walks over to the stair railing where her dress is hanging and sticks her arms out to put it over her shirt.
Then skips over to the kitchen door once her head pops out.
Int. Kitchen - The kitchen door swings open and Pippi pops in and grabs two colorful stockings hanging from a clothesline above the stove and pulls them off the clothes pins with a snap.
She sits on the floor and pulls the stockings on her feet. One of her shoes is visible under the table. Pippi sticks one of her feet under the table and into the shoe, while standing up. The other shoe is on top of the table.
She hangs the shoe on her big toe, then spins it around so that each one fits onto her foot. The window pane squeaks. Pippi turns to see the horse tapping his muzzle against the window, begging for his breakfast. Pippi opens the window and the horse thrusts his head in.
Pippi: "Good morning! Just be patient!"
She pats him gently, then feeds him a sugar cube from her pocket. She then opens the kindling box, takes out some dead branches, opens the mouth of the stove and strikes a match, The branches crackle and burn vigorously.
She then takes firewood out of the box and throws it into the stove,
closes the lid.
Then puts her hand into the box again and takes out a big kettle. She jumps over to the sink, fills it with water, then places it on top of the stove.
Suddenly, bells sound and Pippi raises her head.
Pippi:"Oh! Mr. Nilsson's waking up!"
She's at a loss, but quickly digs into the cupboard.
Pippi: "Now, what shall I make for him?"
She ultimately takes some juice and pours it into a cup,
and then steadily makes her way out.
Pippi: "I'd better hurry, or I'll eat all this myself."
Int. Living Room - Mr. Nilsson, a tiny monkey wearing sky blue pajamas and a night cap, is ringing the call bell. Pippi walks in with a tray.
Pippi: "Good morning, Mr. Nilsson!"
Mr. Nilsson sits up on the bed.
Pippi: "Go on, eat up!"
On the tray is an apple, a glass of juice, with some cheese to the side.
Ext. Villa Villekulla - Pippi walks out the front door with a pot of soup in her hands.
As the horse cranes its neck from the porch, Pippi walks over to place the bowl on the ledge.
Pippi: "Sorry to have kept you."
But the horse cannot wait, and sticks his muzzle into the pot. Tommy and Annika walk through the front gate.
Tommy: "Good morning, Pippi!"
Pippi waves to them
Pippi: "Good morning, Tommy and Annika!"
Tommy approaches as Pippi asks Annika
Pippi: "We're having breakfast now. Have you eaten?"
Annika gently strokes the horse's mane
Annika: "No, not yet."
Mr. Nilsson climbs down from the second floor balcony, climbs onto Pippi's shoulders, then jumps onto Annika's.
Pippi: "Then why don't you eat with me?"
Annika: "Wow! That sounds great!"

Pippi Longstocking (Re-edited from the Swedish/West German TV series and released in the USA in 1973) A mysterious young girl, Pippi Longstocking, moves into the abandoned Villa Villekulla. The redheaded Pippi, living alone but for a monkey called Mr. Nilsson and her horse Little Old Man, befriends two neighboring children, Tommy and Annika.
Pippi Goes On Board (Re-edited from the Swedish/West German TV series and released in the USA in 1975)
Having decided to stay on in the Villa Villekulla and not follow her father to sea, Pippi continues to run riot in her quest for fun. To the joy of her best friends Tommy and Annika, Pippi throws a bizarre birthday party, causes chaos at a carnival, builds the world's biggest snowball and celebrates Christmas her own way.

When Pippi Longstocking learns South Sea pirates have kidnapped her father, she sets off on a daring rescue mission. Naturally she takes her inseparable friends Tommy and Annika along with her. Shiver me timbers!
Pippi on the Run (USA release 1977)
After being nagged by their parents for staying out late with their best friend Pippi Longstocking, Annika and Tommy decide to run away. Life can never be ordinary when you're with Pippi Longstocking, the world's strongest girl!
