Since this is apparently needed, here's a great article by MRAs talking about misandry, here's another article, here's a more recent article by another fascist on misogyny and misandry, here's a beautiful article from the 1990s in the NYT on misandry, here's an MRA blog with history on the term misandry which shows its antifeminist uses even in the beginning.
You can also go on youtube and find many, many videos by open fascists, open MRAs and general antifeminists talking about "misandry". It is not a neutral term.
It is a term that's frequently been used not just to deny misogyny, but to claim that there is, in this patriarchial society, systems of oppression working to oppress men specifically for being men and give women power over them.
Which is not and never has been true.
When you use terms that have been claimed, repeatedly, by fascists and general antifeminists and then you claim these terms are neutral or completely acceptable to use, you become no different from people who use terms like "degenerate" against others.
You are putting people in danger by acting like using fascist terminology is acceptable, you make it easier for fascists to get into feminist spaces and you make it clear that you are, in fact, not a feminist at all.
Also, for those claiming they have "never heard" of antifeminists using terms like misandry: some of you are young and haven't been in feminist spaces long, which could be why, but I also think it's because some of you are not in feminist spaces at all.
You aren't hearing antifeminists using terms like misandry because you are surrounded by antifeminists using the term misandry and you don't recognize it.
So here's your PSA: stop fucking using it.
