Theist or Atheist?

I'm sort of in the middle. I don't believe in God The Almighty Super Jesus as is common around here, but it's equally difficult for me to accept that there's nothing out there - zip, zilch, nada.
I guess I've always thought that if there can be so many different religions and mythologies around the world with such complex and venerable stories involved, there must be something that inspired all that. It might be science, it might be a straight up deity. I don't know.
When I was younger, I used to believe in magic. Not like Harry Potter magic or Wicca magic. Sort of emotional magic. Like when you see someone that you've been missing for far too long and there's that kind of crumpling feeling and you can tell that they're feeling the same thing at that very moment. That feeling, that moment - that was magic. And hiccups, the way they're so completely illogical and they make people laugh sometimes, they're magic too. The effect candles have on people is magic, the way you feel when you're wearing something that knows the shape of your body more intimately than another person ever could is magic, and the joy of getting unexpected but valued mail is magic.
