Pamela Acker is a biologist and author of a recently released book on vaccinations.
Acker speaks about her research into the HEK-293 cell line specifically, and talks about the number that’s at the end of that cell line name. “HEK” stands for Human Embryonic Kidney and the “293” actually reveals the number of experiments that a specific researcher did to develop that cell line.
“It doesn’t mean there were two hundred and ninety-three abortions, but for two hundred and ninety-three experiments, you would certainly need far more than one abortion. We’re talking probably hundreds of abortions,” Acker shares. (...)
Acker dispels the myth that these cell lines are created using spontaneous abortions, simply by understanding that these cells have to be gathered within five minutes of the abortion. A miscarriage would simply not provide cells that were alive enough for researchers to be able to use the cells.
This is where things get very disturbing, because in most cases it’s not a “simple abortion,” but rather, Acker says:
“They will actually deliver these babies via cesarean section. The babies are still alive when the researchers start extracting the tissue; to the point where their heart is still beating, and they’re generally not given any anesthetic, because that would disrupt the cells that the researchers are trying to extract.
So, they’re removing this tissue, all the while the baby is alive and in extreme amounts of pain. So, this makes it even more sadistic.”
A post I've seen concerning the covid vaccine has had some wide misinformation spread.
This one:
They claimed to have the cells of an aborted fetus, (MRC-5) and while it is true that MRC-5 contains the cells of an aborted fetus, that fetus' cells from the lungs have been only harvested once,
"These cells have since been propagated in labs for many years, and has been used in the actual production of other vaccines, such as vaccines against shingles and chickenpox, to grow the virus for use in the injection" (Fullfact.org)
All cells have been replicated in a lab so that you do not need to have a new fetus every time a vaccine is manufactured.
This fetus is from 1966, harvested from the lungs of of a male fetus.
"Cells from both foetuses have been replicated over the decades, creating what’s known as cell strains. So the actual cells used in the manufacture of this vaccine are not directly from a foetus" (Fullfact.org).
While yes it can be grueling to think that a fetus is in your vaccine, the cells are stripped from any fetal matter and only the cells needed are used in the vaccine, so no, no fetuses are actually in your vaccine. These cells have been used in the production line of other common vaccines such as: chicken pox, shingles, and more.
Besides, this vaccine uses a completely different cell from a completely different fetus anyway. And while you do have the right to decline the vaccine, it is smart to use it because it can prevent you from even having to suffer from covid anyway. Yes, covid has a 99% survival rate, but those who do not have as much of an immune system as others, such as people with heart problems, lung problems and other complications, they have less chance of surviving and a higher chance of getting an infection especially in the lungs since it is filled with so much fluid.
The cdc has a list of complications after one has recovered from covid, and while not as common, it has still been reported that many people suffered from long term effects as extreme as these.
"More serious long-term complications appear to be less common but have been reported. These have been noted to affect different organ systems in the body. These include:
Cardiovascular: inflammation of the heart muscle
Respiratory: lung function abnormalities
Renal: acute kidney injury
Dermatologic: rash, hair loss
Neurological: smell and taste problems, sleep issues, difficulty with concentration, memory problems
Psychiatric: depression, anxiety, changes in mood" (CDC)
It is understandable if people feel as though the vaccine is not for them, it was produced very fast and they do not know the long term effects of the vaccine yet. But if that person is not practicing safety measures recommended during this pandemic such as wearing a mask, social distancing, washing your hands, etc then they will not help stop the pandemic.
"COVID-19 symptoms can sometimes persist for months. The virus can damage the lungs, heart and brain, which increases the risk of long-term health problems. Most people who have coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) recover completely within a few weeks" (Mayo Clinic)
Please do your research and don't spread misinformation, I'm not saying that you should absolutely take the vaccine, as there are some factors that we don't know of while taking the vaccine, it is still smart to make sure that you follow the rules during this pandemic and stay safe!

I've been working in a virology lab with a variety of cell culture lines for a while and never really looked into the history behind them. The ones that stuck out to me most are HeLa and Henrietta Lacks who died from cancer, and MRC-5 and the unborn baby boy who was killed in abortion.. it kind of bothers me how these cell lines are treated like objects and we don't really address the living human beings they came from.
