mrdarcysmuse replied to your post: Well, releasing the DA scripts of what we've already seen with a few teasers of additional material nicely packaged in hardback will make a tidy amount of money for Lord Fellowes
‘Tis truth! The opposite of book->TV.
I feel like a party pooper but if you want to know what the dialogue is, write it down - and some people have and it's on the internet. The stage directions (or whatever you call it in film) will be written down versions of what we see on screen. This is going to be packaged on glossy paper with pictures (screencaps from the show we've all seen!), put into hardback with a snazzy cover and sold for about £17 in WH Smith to fans desperate for some tiny insight which they probably won't get. If it was in aid of charity like the HP spin-off books that'd be one thing but this is a clear and cynical marketing ploy to make Julian Fellowes lots of money. Let us not forget that, unlike us punters eating our beans on toast in our semis with our mortgages, he is a peer of the realm with quite enough fame and fortune.
I'll buy the DVDs when S02 and the CS are marketed together for a cheaper price than they are now and I won't be giving him any money for his scripts!
