Radiology techs of tumblr, please tell me how you got into your program? I feel like I'm running towards an invisible goal post. I currently have As and one A- in my prerequisites, but there's so few spots in my program I feel like it's impossible to get in

Basic research is so pervasive with false assumptions that one can only wonder where they get the financing to dance to some tune big pharma approves of.
Most days this job has been great. Each patient is different, with a different story, life, experience, and attitude. 99% of people I’ve met at this new job have been super nice, including the patients. Most exams have gone pretty positively too, which is more the luck of the draw than anything. But then today happens and you scan a not-even-middle-aged-woman with a stroke 1/3 of her brain and you know she’ll never recover and it’s devastating. Just another reminder of how precious life really is.
