ace is trying his damnedest not to be jealous as celine recounts the details of her date. she wasn’t his girlfriend, they’d never even come close to dating. so why was he jealous, ‘sounds like you had fun.’ good thing he’s gotten used to hiding his emotions so even though he’s jealous he can still act like he’s happy about it. in a way he is happy that she had fun. it’s just that he’s finding himself wishing that she had that fun with him, ‘when’s the second date?’ he asks, taking a long sip off his mug of black coffee.

she knows that she might be a bit of a sadist -- it had only been the other night when he had stepped out of his office and into her own domain, one filled with flashing lights and scantily clad women. yet here she was anyway, soft raps against his door while entering immediately after, not allowing for anyone to tell her she was able to come in...just like usual. “professor..” she calls out sweetly, smirk playing at the edge of her lips as she dangles her close notebook between her hands. “I came to ask a question about the assignment that I dont quite get...will you help me?” she inquires, dark orbs locked to his familiar visage so she doesn’t miss even the slightest change.

‘rowoon, you’re kind of the most important person in my life but you’re also the biggest dumbass i know.’ and unlike most everyone else at this party that her brother has thrown, seunghee is completely sober. she doesn’t know why she’s decided to tell him this now. maybe the idea of the world going down in flames has emboldened her, ‘i’m in love with you, you idiot.’ and she wouldn’t be so straightforward about it if he had simply let the idea of setting her up go, ‘you’re literally the only person who hasn’t realized that yet.’ even her teachers had asked her about her crush on him, ‘now please can you stop trying to get me to go out with other guys?’

‘the security cameras are down because they’re requiring the system.’ shihyun said as he flipped the light switch on inside the building, ‘and i paid changmin off to disappear for the night which means we have the place to ourselves.’ shihyun worked at an amusement park. the inside was an arcade and just outside where several rides that shihyun thankfully new how to operate, ‘and...’ shihyun reached into his pocket for a set of keys, ‘i can unlock the games and we can just use the tokens that are already inside. so they’ll never know the difference.’

‘my brain is friend.’ kiha sighed, pulling his glasses off and sitting them down on the table in front of him. he’s been buried in his textbooks most of the night and now when he finds himself looking away, he can still see the letters on the page in front of him. he rubs his eyes and lets out a loud groan, ‘i need a break.’ he nodded, sitting his glasses back on his face and looking over at her, ‘remind me why i decided to go to college instead of becoming a circus  clown? that would have been so much easier.’

‘do you like it?’ amelia chuckled, tossing her newly dyed blonde hair and giving a little twirl, ‘doesn’t it make me look like so much older?’ she smiles, running her hands through her hair. in a month or so, amelia would be starting college and she had decided to reinvent herself. no more childish amelia. no more stupid teenager amelia. she was an adult now, ‘i feel powerful. like i should be a character on sex and the city or something.’

‘the date went.....’ he’s tempted to lie to her. to tell it went great. but for some reason he can’t lie to her right now, ‘i totally blew it.’ he sighs, falling on to the couch in his living room, ‘someone stumbled and dropped some glasses. i heard it shattered and all of a sudden i was a little kid dodging bottles my dad threw at my head.’ he can feel a shiver crawling up his spine, ‘i totally panicked. i tried to play it off but i think i freaked her out. i offered to walk her home and she said no and took a cab.’ he let his eyes shut, ‘i’m hopeless.’

‘what the hell are you doing here?’ he hasn’t seen eunmin in weeks and he certainly isn’t expecting her to be at his door this late at night. his first instinct is to step out of the way and let her in. it takes everything in him to fight that urge. eunmin had stomped on his heart, he shouldn’t be so willing to just let her right back into his life, ‘i told you i didn’t want to talk to you.’ for once he had been the one to walk away from her. he had walked away and he hadn’t looked back. that had never happened before, ‘go home, eunmin. please.’
