Your best student is NOT always the one with the highest grade: @bolofresche aka @artbylevar painted these custom Nike “AF MEX1” Sneakers for his top prize winning student in Art class!! The kid doesn’t even speak english as well as others & not his top artist, but gives top effort & outworks classmates daily. For the final contest, kids had to describe their ultimate custom shoe. This kid described the Nike AF1’s and wanted the Mexican flag colors and Supreme on them. He was so proud to be a Mexican man when describing the shoe and we just love teaching that “Self Love” that many students lack. In school curriculum, we've found that we don’t teach “children of color” that they come from greatness, kings, rulers, hero’s and geniuses.
