I had so many wonderful people through today for the first day of @margaretriverregionopenstudios ~ totally inspiring & heartwarming conversations & connections! 😍❤️ One gentleman said to me ...”You paint empathy in your portraits” ~ wow! I love that he saw this and reflected it back to me! It helped me connect with something with my artwork. What a gift ~ so very grateful for this experience and wonderful event! ❤️🙏 ps. After a couple of years break, I am once again participating in this wonderful event for artists and art appreciators in the South West! My studio doors will be open to visitors during this truly inspiring & fabulous event from the 10th to the 25th September 2022. In addition to seeing parts of my process with works in progress on my easels, I will have available greeting cards, limited edition prints, as well as original paintings to invest in. I was invited to be filmed in my studio in readiness for this years fabulous Margaret River Region Open Studios event! Not one to be overly comfortable in front of a camera, the wonderfully skilled & adept MRROS's team did their best to put me at ease, lol! I am sure their editing abilities will make it all look very seamless ❤ Will be immersing myself into some prolific painting over the next couple of months to have lots of work available for people to see in September. Just picked up these print reproductions onto canvas, of two of my favourite paintings that I have missed since they sold and went to their collectors ~ ‘Facing Frida’ & ‘Life Through the Lens of an Artist’ Such exceptional quality, these prints on canvas capture all the brushstrokes and texture of the originals.
