You know it’s funny...pulling one’s mind back from Western societal conditioning around how a woman must look, particularly as she is ageing...where one’s mind goes to in that journey. I woke up this morning and saw myself in the mirror and thought ‘gee you look haggard ‘, ‘gosh you are looking old, unattractive ‘... Then I caught my thoughts and said to myself, ‘nah, you look more like you love...more like who you are on the inside...both who you have always been and who you are becoming’. I finished looking in the mirror and walked out the bathroom and saw ‘Old Crone’s Love In The Garden of Gaia’ (so happy I held onto this earlier piece ~ she guides and reconnects me) 😊🙌🏻 I asked my hubby earlier in the year ‘what do you think hon?...should I keep paying a truckload of money on a regular basis and get my hair dyed blonde or should I just let my hair go naturally grey and then we’ve got extra money to play with?’ I knew it was a Queen’s Gambit question to ask him but his answer still surprised me. He said ‘I think you should keep getting your hair dyed’. Well, I can tell you, after my initial retort of ‘Well you get to go grey, bald and fat...why can’t I!?’...I had a lot to unpack and process & every now and then I still throw that one back at him, lol! 😂 But bless my mum...she said ‘It is a really lovely shade of silver Tan’ < only a mother...😍❤️ So I still haven’t had my hair coloured and most probably won’t. I’ve just ticked over half a century and into my wise crone years right? So freedom reigns. Freedom to choose. Freedom by choice not pressure. ‘Old Crone’s Love In The Garden of Gaia’ (reserved in artists private collection to remind herself of the other pathways to take) ©️ Tanya Cole . . . . #oldcronesloveinthegardenofgaia #intuitivepaintinglove #tanyacoleartsdotcom https://www.instagram.com/p/CTtMleoB2XG/?utm_medium=tumblr
