Why YES! Yes it is!! I bought him as a birthday present to myself when he came out. :D  And that’s a Hawkeye right next to him! But not a Hot Toys Hawkeye. This one is smaller, but just as epic (and significantly cheaper). It’s the Avengers NOW Hawkeye. He’s so pretty. *pets them both lovingly*

I’m trying again with some more of my hand dyed stuff, and having the same feeling. Just not in love with it. I’ll try a bit longer, because my dyeing technique truly needs work so it can probably get better, but... this really is a tad distressing!

(Or maybe I really am just getting a bit burnt out on the drop spindle.)

I ended up just going into full snark mode. Like, pulled my knitting out of my purse, and went all, “Yes! I buy yarn, too! I do BOTH THINGS! Both things are worth doing!”

He didn’t take the hint. Went on about how his mother and sister “used to knit before they got too busy.” Also commented on how nice it was to see the “lost arts” being kept alive. Sigh.

It’s very possible that he meant well and was just back peddling. He was still pretty nice. But yeah, it was getting a little awkward there.

I have pulled the post that you found offensive. I do admit I felt that my comment wasn't really off color and seemed like an odd choice to draw upset, but your triggers are your own. Perhaps in future it would be more effective to send a private message? Had you done that, when I pulled the post, that would be the end of it. Commenting on a reblog seems like it just propagates the issue at hand. I apologize again. K.

You know, I was gonna call it out and let it slide, but I feel like I need to answer this publicly to address a lot of things.

Apologies if I offend, but I’m not really in the mood to give a flying fuck at a rolling donut, so here we go.

The response to your post isn’t me having a trigger. That’s not at all what trigger means, so don’t apply the word here. What I did in this post was call you out on your behavior. You and the other “Clarkettes” as you call yourselves have filled the tag with unnecessary posts talking about all of the things you’d like to do to a married man with a child. That, in itself, is pretty gross.

To put it in perspective, flip the gender. Would you feel the same way if you saw posts like these where a guy was doing it to a woman? Probably not. In fact, there would be posts just like mine calling it out.

It’s really, really gross and you’ve driven several of us out of the tag completely. In a place where having to deal with overt sexual stuff is pretty much the norm, when someone’s photoset is taken over with notes like these, it really is unnecessary. Take it somewhere else, off the photoset, where OP doesn’t have to see them.

scrivenbear has put up with this garbage before, and it’s made them supremely uncomfortable.

It’s not a trigger. It’s them having to see your comments every time you reblog this, as the op. They’re tired of it, and frankly, so am I. Your behavior is not, as a matter of fact, welcome. “Off color” as a phrase makes my teeth grind, because you know what?

Your behavior, and that of the other people on said post, is disgusting. We as a culture have cultivated this thing where we think it’s all cool to talk about celebrities like this, but here’s the thing -- Clark’s wife is on tumblr, and I’ve seen her trawl the tags. You guys are not making us, as a fanbase, look good. It reflects on everyone.

He’s a person, and he deserves respect, as an actor and a human being. You’re not doing either, and neither are the people who participated. Just like everyone does.

Your snarky little non-apology tells me two things: 1) that you don’t understand my point, and 2) that you don’t actually care. So I hope you maybe consider things in the future. I’m not going to waste my time calling out every single one of you gross walnuts when a single blanket post will do.

Really, you should be apologizing to scrivenbear, because their post is the one you turned into a “Who wants to fuck Clark Gregg more” circlejerk. But you should maybe brush up on how to sound sincere before you do.
