Rocket Tower has claimed a casualty. Scientist had a Porygon that proved a formidable threat. Survived Surf after Surf, bite after bite, kept using recover. could never get in that last blow needed to kill it. It had another move hidden in reserve; signal beam. 4x effectiveness against Ms. Fishy. Equal level. I screamed and gasped, but hoped it wouldn’t be enough to take her out on one hit. But alas. Squinty quick attacked it to death, but Ms. Fishy has fallen.

Lots to cover! Mrs. Fishy has officially divorced from a husband I’ll never mention, and is now Ms. Fishy. Mamphred has evolved quickly into Flaafy and begun growing at a remarkable pace during the surfs between Olivine and Cianwood. Whole team stands as follows:

Did a lot of traveling this session. Caught a few new water types and picked up Papa and Soulsucker (Paras and Drowsee) from Day Care. Lemme tell you, nothing feels better than hearing “Your pokemon’s level has grown by 20!”
Within one battle, both Papa and Soulsucker evolved. I have a Parasect and a Hypno now, hell yeah. Switched in a new Krabby and Mafist the Machop at Day Care. Hope for the best, pray for the worst.
Debated facing Jasmine before Chuck. Then thought better of it. Ran all the way to Azalea town to pick up the pokeball Kurt started for me....8 or 9 entries ago. Left him with 7 green apricorns which will hopefully get turned into useful pokeballs when I get Fly. Training Mamphred and Big Eye for Chuck, have bad memories of that Poliwrath and that Primeape. Might bring in Soulsucker even though his defense isn’t great. Psybeam is pretty good though. Ms. Fishy will also do well being a flying-type (for a never explained reason).
