I love the fact mha dropped colourful clown hero who's quirk could make people laugh uncontrollably and dulls their minds, who had a past failed romance with Aizawa which in his own words 'went nowhere', and then never used her. We love an underutilised queen. How insane is a quirk that can slow their brain and make them laugh - how creepy, useful, and entertaining could that be? If it was ever used in the manga/anime...

She could have had an affect on the major battles by making the main villains laugh and slowing their brain right down but no, the story forgot about her and the rest of Ketsubutsu High. She could have had a really funny divorced/ bitter exes/ pining but refuse to admit it vibe with Aizawa which would have helped his character not just be about his students and dead friend (Aizawa is my favourite character, but sometimes its a bit sad realising that his ending was mourning his dead bestie and teaching (which was the start of his story too)). She was (given her design) one of the only non-sexualised female pro-heroes, and it could have been fun to have her as a major player, but alas... She was ignored.

I like to think that Shinso was influenced by Ms Joke, because his costume bears some striking similarities to hers.

I like the idea that he's inspired by another hero with a quirk similar to his - forcing people to laugh and impairing their minds is similar to his brainwashing/ hypnosis one.

I’ve just finished writing an EraserJoke fanfiction where Shinsou is actually Aizawa’s biological son (because… come on, they look WAY too similar, right?).

It’s not an AU! The story takes place in the canon universe of My Hero Academia. To make it work with canon, I played a bit with the timeline…
