only homestuck? why not any other mspaint adventure?
I originally set out to make a blog on parallels within homestuck and wound up choosing this url because I liked the way it played with the name of mspaint adventures. Along the way, I became increasingly aware that the url implies a greater domain and that many of Hussie’s parallels and ongoing gags transcend individual comics.
Why I haven’t done so ultimately comes down to that I am just one person running this blog and I’m just one person who has a much, much, better grasp on homestuck than other mspa works. I’ve read it in its entirety at least four times, combing through it for parallels each time. I don’t have the same background with other mspa comics and don’t presently have the energy to exhaustively pour through them. That isn’t to say expanding the purview isn’t something I would consider in the future, but it just not something I can do in the present.
I've seen that shades-universe glint somewhere else. I don't remember where, but definitely somewhere else.
I’m guessing this is what you’re thinking of. [x]
Is it under the purview of your blog to think about Jailbreak beginning a theme of escape in MS Paint Adventures? Escape into an open-ended reality outside the narrative?
This is an excellent question! The name msparallels certainly implies that all of mspa is under my purview, although I’ve exclusively dealt with homestuck thus far. I could open parallels up to all of mspa if people are interested.
Have you done anything with the audio callbacks in various places to typheus, including at the end of [s] collide?
I actually haven’t done anything with audio callbacks. It’s something I’m definitely interested in, but I can’t figure out how I would present the content on tumblr. I was thinking I could possibly have an audio post and then the visuals from the corresponding segments underneath, but if the callback was a modified version of a song, I’m not sure how I would go about presenting the two or more audio pieces and their corresponding visuals.
If anyone has any ideas of how to present audio callbacks, I’d love to hear them!
pressing start over on the act 7 page leads back to act 7
Hi anon,
I tried doing so and it brought me back to the beginning of Homestuck. Perhaps it was a brief linking error after the page went up?
hmmm
it's starting beware.
