hiii everyone, i don’t know if you can help me but i’m trying to find a fanfic i read a few years ago :

it was a wattpad fanfiction entitled “Number 12” and it was a Bokuto x reader, about 30 chapters

- it takes place post-timeskip when bokuto is playing with msby team (or he’s at least a professional player)

- reader is the 12th assistant of bokuto; the others all quit the job because of him

- bokuto is a little bit out of character (but there is a reason) : he’s arrogant, cocky and he’s getting on her nerves

/!\ spoiler alert /!\ for the story :

- akashi was the best friend of bokuto but he died in a car accident

- i remember bokuto had to do an underwear photoshoot

- then later, reader and bokuto got close and almost hooked up during a trip but there was the fire alarm in the hotel

- they fight and reader sleeps one time with a swimmer from “free!!” (i think it’s sosuke)

- he discovers it so they argue

- they don’t see each other for a long time and they’re both depressed

- but reader comes back for his birthday and happy end

it’s been at least four (4!!) years that i’m looking for this fanfic, so i hope someone can help me find it again or share it with me if they have it :))

I luv this big beefcake I have a million thoughts on him & they’re all silly;

-loves emojis, you couldn’t pry them from his cold dead hands. Half of his text messages are just him responding with emojis.

-he has like no concept of personal space. He’s in everyone’s faces 24/7. He’ll back off if asked obvs, but he doesn’t even realize he’s doing it.

-He actually has a nipple piercing he got on a dare but just kept because he thought it was cool

-he is not hypermasculine. he has two older sisters who whooped his ass into shape, this man’s not acting too manly to hold a purse or let you test makeup/perfume/etc on him.

-loves loves LOVES internet slang. Any new phrase you’ll hear from him a million times. he was stuck on “clock it” for a while, the team actually had to ban it from practice.

getting a kitten with Bokuto & he cuddles with it on the couch every night, shirtless. When you finally ask one day why he always takes his shirt off to cuddle, he very seriously goes “Don’t babies need skin to skin?”

The kitchen smelled like cinnamon candles, pumpkin guts, and impending chaos.

You were elbow-deep in orange mush, trying to scrape out the insides of your pumpkin when Bokuto’s dramatic gasp echoed beside you.

“Babe,” he said, wide-eyed, holding up his carving knife like it was Excalibur. “Look at the size of these pumpkin seeds!”

You snorted. “Koutarou, they’re literally normal-sized.”

“No, no, no,” he insisted, pointing at them like they were precious gems. “This one’s huge! It’s like — a mutant seed!”

You laughed, shaking your head as he proudly set it on a napkin like it deserved an award. “You’re such a dork.”

“Hey,” he said, grinning. “You love this dork.”

“Yeah, I do,” you admitted, and he immediately puffed his chest out like you’d just told him he won MVP.

He leaned over your pumpkin, watching as you tried to carve out the top. “Need help?”

“I’ve got it—”

Too late. He was already reaching over, big hands wrapping around the knife handle to “assist” you. The combined strength sent the lid flying off and pumpkin goop splattering across the counter — and onto your face.

You blinked. Slowly.

Bokuto froze. “Oh no.”

You wiped a handful of pulp off your cheek, holding his gaze. “Oh yes.”

He barely had time to react before you scooped a handful of pumpkin guts and flung it right at his chest.

“HEY!” he laughed, clutching at his shirt like he’d been mortally wounded. “That’s a foul! Unsportsmanlike conduct!”

“You started it!”

Within seconds, the kitchen became a full-blown pumpkin war — laughter bouncing off the walls, orange strings everywhere, both of you giggling like kids as you ducked and threw handfuls of goop.

At one point, Bokuto caught you around the waist mid-laugh, spinning you around as you squealed, your laughter muffled against his hoodie.

“Truce!” you managed between giggles. “Truce, Koutarou!”

He set you down gently, both of you breathless and covered in orange mess. His hair had a bit of pumpkin string stuck in it, and you couldn’t stop laughing long enough to tell him.

He smiled down at you, eyes sparkling in that way that always made your chest feel too full. “You’ve got something on your face,” he teased softly.

You raised an eyebrow. “You’ve got something everywhere.”

He grinned, leaning down until your noses nearly touched.

He chuckled, pressing a quick kiss to your forehead. “Next year, though,” he said with mock seriousness, “we’re buying extra pumpkins. I need to redeem myself.”

You rolled your eyes fondly. “Or maybe just one pumpkin and fewer flying seeds?”

He gasped. “No way! Where’s the fun in that?”

You laughed, and he joined you, the sound warm and bright in the messy, pumpkin-covered kitchen — because with Bokuto, even disasters felt like the best kind of memories.
