Jyn: As previously stated, Gryff. You need to push her a little, but it’s there.

Ragnar: Ravenclaw.  "Odin gave his eye to acquire knowledge... but I would give far more." Curiosity and search of knowledge is his #1 driving force.

James: Gryffinpuff is all I can say in honesty. :D

Elizabeth: The most Slytherdor person to ever exist, brash bravery and vicious cunning in equal measure (she is the Pirate King).

Elijah: Ravenclaw with some ‘Puff vibes. Intellectual, insightful and strategic but loyal as all hell.

How about sorting the whole R1 team?

Oh goodness, I feel like we didn’t get to know them well enough (I’m looking forward to all of the tie-in material). But I’ll try:

Jyn: Gryffindor. You gotta press her a little to find it, but it’s there.

Cassian: Ravenclaw, probably, with a Slytherin streak. As an intelligence officer, he needs to be calm, cerebral and ruthless.

Bodhi: Hufflepuff. Poor bb just wants to mind his own business and do the right thing.

Chirrut: Gryffindor. With that faith and bravery, he kinda has to be.

Baze: Hufflepuff. A charred cinnamon roll, but a very loyal and caring one.

K-2SO: I want to say Ravenclaw, possibly Slytherin? Droids are kinda difficult to sort.

Batman in Hogwarts

Ffffuckkk....this one is so hard. ‘Specially since I’m not that familiar with Batman. 

I’d have to go with Gryffindor. He’s brave, courageous and has a thirst to prove himself. He’s confident in his own abilities and, in his own way, chivalrous. He’s sort of a chaotic good.

OH MAN the reason I did this meme was because of talking about Tokyo Babylon sorting ...!

Subaru: I could never put this child anywhere other than Hufflepuff.  His work ethic is pure Hogwarts Badger for starters (hey who remembers the time that Subaru literally worked himself sick trying to save the lives of girls who were straight up trying to kill him? BECAUSE I DO.).  His huge heart leads him to feats of great bravery, but he’s entirely motivated by doing a good job and taking care of the people around him.  Unstoppable Hufflepuff bae!

Hokuto: Hokuto follows in what I assume is the grand Sumeragi tradition of being a Slytherin.  :3 Super protective of Subaru as she is, her outlook on the world is pragmatic and materialistic.  She knows what she wants and is setting herself up to get it (a rich husband, a person her brother can rely on) throughout the manga.  And she’s cunning and thoughtful enough to pick up on Seishirou’s oddities and take the calculated risk of allowing him to stay close to Subaru (though that obviously backfires like woah).  In short, the only reason Seishirou outfoxes Hokuto is because she wasn’t prepared for Seishirou to have literally zero emotions/attachments and she would be a Slytherin force to be reckoned with in Hogwarts.

Seishirou: Well naturally he’s a total Hufflepuff. :P  Seishirou is an unusual case because he’s kind of a void. While he seems cunning he’s totally not; everyone knows something is wrong with him except Subaru (lol). He’s not ambitious; he sets goals and meets them but with no grandiose purpose since he doesn’t really have any desires. He’s not particularly brave as it’s hard to be brave when you don’t really feel fear.  And he’s not really into knowledge from what we can tell; whatever he learns, it’s a means to an end. But Seishirou has an incredible work ethic.  He makes the Bet and then sees it through to the end even though he’s incredibly bored and could have ended it any time (the only thing he would have broken is his own arbitrary rules).  He gets a vet degree presumably because it would put him in easy contact with lots of stray animals to use as sakanagi sacrifices.  In X he puts forth tons of effort into destroying kekkai while giving absolutely no sign of caring one way or another about the fate of humanity.  Basically he may not be particularly loyal, but in the absence of every other trait other than hardworking, I’d sort him into Hufflepuff.

Marinette, Adrien, Alya and Nino.

The whole core ML cast, I see! HRM

Marinette: A Gryffindor through and through!  From what I can tell, even before becoming Ladybug she had a lionheart (even if she was hesitant to act on it).  She’s brave and has the strongest sense of justice.

Adrien: Hatstall between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, maybe? Adrien has a stronger sense of kindness than justice, and he’s incredibly brave, but he seems to be motivated by supporting the people he’s close to over heroics for their own sake? We know from his side story that he wants to support his father in the absence of his mother and from his actions as Chat Noir that he’s completely dedicated to her (and by extension, Paris).  It’s hard to know for sure which he’d end up in, and I think it would come down to him wanting to be where Ladybug is, haha.

Alya: *deep breath* I … really want to put her in Slytherin … because she’s super ambitious and brave as hell about putting herself out there, but also really loyal and protective of her friends.  She wants to unmask Ladybug and will stop at nothing to get a scoop.  OTOH, she’s not just supportive of Marinette but also protective of her feelings.  I’m sad that we don’t see more of Alya’s wants and dreams in the series, but for now, I think that she combines Hufflepuff and Gryffindor traits to make a great Slytherin.

Nino: It’s hard to say with this guy just because we don’t know that much about him! (One of the faults of Miraculous Ladybug is that we don’t get much of Alya and Nino’s lives apart from Marinette and Adrien.) He probably belongs in Hufflepuff, since his most character-defining moment was when he was so determined to get his friend a good birthday he confronted Adrien’s father directly.  He’s not particularly brave but he’s honest and straightforward, almost to a fault, which feels a bit more Gryffindor, but between that and his kindness I’m going Hufflepuff this time, I think.

Okay but if you want to sort the MKR girls I think you just gotta look at their challenges in the Fountain of Eterna.

Hikaru: total hatstall between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff.  She loves adventure (look at how she reacts to Cephiro!) and is brave and willing to do whatever needs to be done but all of her motivation is protecting and caring for her friends. She has to fight her beloved dog in the Fountain - her best friend back in Tokyo - which I think shows her values with her friends over bravery and adventure, though, so she’d end up in Hufflepuff.

Fuu: I think she’s a Ravenclaw with a side order of Slytherin cunning.  She loves learning things and approaches the world in a very logical, academic way, but she’s also sly as hell and won’t hesitate to use others as necessary for her own ends.  If she was more ambitious I’d probably move her house.  But she fights herself in the Fountain - her mission is to puzzle-solve and come to understand herself better in the process - which is a more of a logic problem and suggests Ravenclaw to me.

Umi: Slytherin with a huge helping of Hufflepuff.  She fights her parents in the Fountain because her worry and love for her family outweighs everything else.  Her aristocratic personality and desire to protect her own to the exclusion of others is quite Slytherin to me.  I don’t think we see her pursue her ambitions in series but it’s not hard to see Umi as the kind of person who decides what she wants and then makes it happen.  That said, that same family loyalty is very Hufflepuff, and when she accepts Hikaru and Fuu as her friends she immediately becomes just as dedicated to protecting them as her family. (I think the fact her loyalty expresses as protective over supportive is more Slytherin, though.)
