We discovered that we were both three-legged-race champions as kids. We were sure that dormant skill was the key to our success when we were tasked with serving the last bottle of champagne while still braided together by our hair. Moving together through the room took balance and grace, crouching one at a time or adjusting our posture so as not to tug each other by the hair. When Waterfalls by TLC came on Ms. Darker was merciful and un-tangled our hair so we could dance. It was a pleasure to spend so much time up-close and personal with Ms. LaRossa.
