MANHATTAN SHORT
Last Sunday I went to the Manhattan Short Film Festival with my friend and it was amazing. Sereously, it was the best time I was in the cinema. This festival contains 9 short films, which became finalists among all short films all over the world. At the end of all session we should choose the best film and the best actor, so the results will be ready at October 8.
So I'll start my reaction from the 'not so best' to the best:
Her - I don't really like this film, but I understand that it has to be in the list of finalists, so no social minorities will be triggered and that's normal;
Fauve - Film about how bad can be turned child's play. Just don't like it, but it also nice to show to society.
Someone - That is nice one film, at least because it teaches of forgiveness. This film is about how a young girl made a first step to piece by forgiving a guy who raped her. That's actually a good one, the authors even take care of showing us a real russian actors, though it was filmed in Germany. But I don't like anti-war themed films.
Fire In Cardboard City - This one is pretty fun. It's just a comedy and I strongly remember the moment of extinguishing fire with cardboard water. So this Cardboard city was extinguished by the water from the real world, following by logo "Flood In Cardboard City".
Bughead - A horror... Well performed horror...
Lacrimosa - It is awsome romantic vanilla film, but I don't think I can tell many about it, because I know that there so many aphorisms due to magestc spesial effects. Also it is a blck-white film, so it was also done some effect in my choice(to the positive side).
Chuchotage - This one is romantic comedy, so one of two interpreters fell in love with a girl. So he thought that she is the only one who was listening to him and he desided to tell her his fellings. But she wasn't the person who was listening the translation, it was another fatty man. Pretty fun I think, if to consider the humor, during all time.
Home Shopper - Film about family violance😏. It is about how wife killed his man and thanks to her favorite home shop she was able to dismember body and get rid of it. Yandere-tan, hehe. But well at the end she recives another package. I really enjoyed it it was so funny(it was comedy and dramma) and also the main actress played well, especially when he killed her husband, so this feels stressful even for viewer, also it was totaly unexpected.
Two Strangers Who Meet Five Times - It is one of the best things I've ever seen. In 12 minutes authors showed so many emotionally srong moments so I almost cryed at the middle. I think that everyone should watch this incredible sort film.
Well, for the best film I chose Two Strangers Who Meet Five Times and there played the best actor of all short films in this list.
