But seriously! Agatha went through so much shit at that time in her life. Can you imagine losing your mother, who you were so close to, and then find yourself having to return to your childhood home, alone, to sort things out and empty that home of your family's possessions. That would be a hard, hard thing.
So you have Agatha, who was basically living with the ghost of her mother and her happy childhood memories at that time, in deep mourning, and along comes fuckwad Archie. He visits his wife at her childhood home only to say, "I don't love you anymore because you're sad? You're not thinking about me at all :(."

Oh, and then, Archie's like, "I'm out of here, Agatha- best of luck or whatever. I have a new, not sad woman now who only thinks of meeeeee and doesn't have sad thoughts."

I seriously would have done precisely what Agatha Christie did, or possibly murdered him myself and then hid at a resort under his girlfriend's name, lmao. (glad she refrained from homicide--- she was much too good to go to prison for that asshole). Agatha probably did have a 'lil mental breakdown, and honest to goodness, why wouldn't she?
