i started reading homestuck right around when i was entering high school and it was the first fandom i was really a part of. i made a tumblr because i wanted more homestuck content and to interact with the fandom more. it has been a special interest of mine for about 4/5 years now, and not once have i gotten tired of it.

during the hardest times of my life, homestuck was there. when i had a bad day at school, when my biological father left my family, when we were in financial ruin, when i was bullied in school and came home to physical/emotional abuse, when i was left in complete heartbreak, homestuck was waiting for me when i got home everyday. one of the most depressing and terrifying times of my life was when i left my old high school and was waiting to get into adult ed classes. i was alone, i pushed all of my friends away, and i was struggling with the worst of an eating disorder ive had for many years. homestuck is something that i put all my time and effort into, and it made me genuinely happy in a time where i didnt feel the slightest bit genuine anymore.

but in my saddest moments, homestuck is there for me. ive made many friends in the fandom, friends that i love deeply and will never forget. im so grateful for the people i have in my life now, and im so grateful for everyone thats supported me through this. there was a time where i thought i wouldnt live to see graduation, but now ive made it! were doing this! from an end to one era to the end of my era, cheers to homestuck for helping me get through the worst of it!

a coming of age story in which a group of kids in their early teens are constantly bothered by aliens who were present during earth’s formation giving them advice that they don’t need and critiquing their every move during their journeys to better themselves. older people with similar personalities to the kids talked to different versions of the same aliens when they were younger and ended up having similar dynamics with them. these aliens have horns and come from a barbaric and animalistic society, they also seem to choose the kids based on their zodiac sign.
