     Years went by like a blur for Jaein. He spent most of his time just focusing on his studies and his club activities really, it was how he kept himself busy and prevented his thoughts from thinking about unnecessary things. One thing he did make sure though to keep track of was what his younger brother Jaehyun was doing. He knew of Jaehyun wanted to do dark magic, knew that the other had his ‘reasons’ behind all of this, though no matter what the reasons were he still didn’t believe in what his brother was doing. It was wrong, dangerous even.

     Jaein is on his way to see what exactly his brother was up to, wanting to make sure that the other either hadn’t done something to get himself hurt or even make sure that he hadn’t randomly passed out somewhere. It’s then though that he hears a couple other students speaking about someone, more particularly his brother, and he stops for a moment to listen in and make sure that it isn’t anything serious. What he hears though really does make him worry. “Did you hear what Jaehyun saw when he encountered that boggart? I wish I could have seen it for myself really, someone told me that it was pretty horrifying.” He listens closely, not missing a single word that’s being said.

     He hears it all and he knows exactly what they’re talking about, even if they don’t fully understand the situation at hand, and it doesn’t take Jaein long soon after to continue on with what he was previously doing. He had to find Jaehyun and confront him about the matter.

     It doesn’t really take him long to find his brother and once he does he stops a few feet away from the other, looking at Jaehyun with that same neutral expression that he always had on his face, the same look he gave everyone and even had when he was alone. “Lee Jaehyun, we need to talk.” His words are short but he knows that his brother will understand just how serious he’s being by the way he says his full Korean name rather than his English name. Jaein makes sure to speak in English rather than Korean, this way they can hopefully avoid anyone actually catching on to what all is being said if they happen to stop and try to eavesdrop on their conversation.

it's not often that xander is found sitting at any bench on campus grounds. when he does find extra time in his schedule though, he enjoys situating himself in an area where he can observe others. of course, it's always for his enjoyment as he either hexes random students who pass by or he reads their auras.

anyone who knows xander may find it odd that he's chosen to study aurology alongside potions amongst all the choices mokseong offers. however, it's served him well in being able to distinguish dark auras from light ones whenever needed especially when aiding his father to identify any dark wizards. of course, the auras at mokseong that he reads are never as intense or the same as an actual dark wizard. there are, however, exceptions every now and then when a student is under great distress, incredibly upset or something heavy weighing on their mind changes their aura. this seems to be the case for a particular student xander happens to read as he passes by.

the student's aura is completely different from the ones xander is accustomed to seeing on mokseong grounds though. it's a bit dark but... there's something familiar. there's no questioning that his aura is tinged with the same darkness that xander has seen countless of times from dark wizards. it's not incredibly strong, but it's there and it's all it takes to make xander follow the unsuspecting male.

the entire time that xander follows the male student, his aura seems to maintain it's dark energy which is a slight surprise to xander as auras tend to change as a person's thoughts and intentions change. so he knows, the male must have something set in mind and before long they've reached the outside of the library. with his curiosity peaked, xander continues to follow the student in, keeping a safe distance behind.

event starter: mokseong mausoleum

he kind of wonders if he should have maybe gone as a vampire, per his name, just for the sake of the joke. but instead, he’d chosen to go as a werewolf, figuring that his hair colour suited it a bit better. pink simply isn’t what he thinks one would expect from a vampire. they’re supposed to be dark or cold, and then there’s him with his peachy pink hair... 

well, anyways, it doesn’t matter. because neither @msujaewon or @msujaehyun had agreed to dress up with him! 

rude. they’re literally the twilight trio, junseong is very much of the opinion that they should have come together to really make the joke stick in everyone else’s minds. but instead, none of them are really matching their “characters,” so to speak. 

once he’s actually managed to gather them all together at the costume party, he huffs at the two shorter men. “i can’t believe you both betrayed me.” he shakes his head in mock disappointment, gesturing at their costumes. never mind the fact that he also isn’t the vampire he was meant to be, but he definitely would have dressed up as a sparkly vampire if the other two had agreed to do it together!

cal definitely would consider himself to be a romantic. maybe not as hopeless as some, but he definitely believes in the concept of soulmates and how he’d eventually find love someday. sure, his past relationships may have been rocky and he is going through conflicting emotions right now. but he still believes that he’ll find someone, get married to them, and be happy with them forever. so when people brought up how this activity would cater to that desire, he was more than excited to try it out. 

it was a little silly of him to ask bell out of all people. while he personally thought the both of them were on good terms, he wasn’t blind to the fact that bell was a little on the grouchy side. he could even say that if cal himself was the human personification of a golden retriever, campbell’d be the human personification of a cat who was very much over his shit. but it’s not like he could ask anyone who was aware of his love difficulties right now. so he decides to ask someone who has no interest on what’s going on in his life right now!

“you excited to figure out who your soulmate is?” he asks with a big smile. “i’m kinda stoked, to be honest. do you want to go first or should i?”

unfolded parchment #20: “don’t make it weird!”, with @msujaehyun​​

“Don’t make it weird!”, Yoojin heard Jaehyun complain for the third time and now he just turned around and crossed his arms, an annoyed expression gracing his baby features as he sighed; he was being beyond patient now, acting friendly with the other male because it was Halloween and it was his very favorite holiday ever but enough was enough.

“Stop it Jae...please”, he used a nickname and Yoojin hardly called people like that unless he was too intimate with them or if they allowed or if he was drunk (this could be an explanation, after all the pumpkin juice did taste weird(er) than usual). 

They were just about to cross the amazingly decorated school’s grounds and find the said outside movie theater when Jaehyun started to complain. At first Yoojin thought the toseong junior was just being picky about it, but as he didn’t give any further explanation, he started questioning himself, if he was making the situation weird for the two of them, if he was at fault; he hated his brain for that but it wasn’t something he could control.

“Look, it’s just two friends going to watch a movie. Ignore people saying it’s romantic or shit like that”, he offered him a smile, reserved and calm, unlike the way his brain kept yelling saying he was the problem.

Adjusting the crown he was wearing, all dressed up still, he then gave up to the dark thoughts, his mood dropping considerably, as Jaehyun’s sentence played in his head like a broken record. “Am I making this weird for you?”, he asked quietly, visibly uneasy.

BAD IDEA!

IT’S NOT AS IF SHE HATES HIM. because wednesday doesn’t. it is, by now (take her word for it, because she’s tried), impossible to hate lee jaehyun with the copious amount of history they have together. he got lucky. he caught her between the not-so-bitter years of twelve and thirteen. where, just before the door to the iron fortress froze over, jaehyun and his weird cat obsession ways just managed to slip past. 

but it doesn’t mean she’s particularly warm. or even lukewarm, actually. at least, not in the way that most would prefer when it comes to sweet faced 5′6″ girls. no, wednesday seon’s greatest (lmao, yeah okay) flaw lies in her inability to be, for lack of better word, pleasant. though, and we’ll once again revisit the knowing-each-other-for-so-long-that-a-fuck-you-dude-get-outta-my-face-simply-bounces-off-like-nothing theory, jaehyun seems to have built up an somewhat of immunity after all this time.

which leaves them here, now, in mokseong’s greenhouse—specifically, wednesday’s little corner of buddies. “oi, stop that—” she hisses, reaching out to yank his arm back from the potted venomous tentacula. “i told you, she bites—the last thing you want me to do right now is shove a fucking bezoar down your throat, because i’ll have you know it will NOT be easy for either of us.” more you than me. then i’ll stand and laugh while you gag on a fucking goat stone on the floor. but wednesday feels that’s better left unsaid—if anything, the look on her face probably already says it all.

“anyway, just lemme finish up here,” she speaks while moving, pulling out a box of chizpurfles to pluck them up with small metal tongs, tossing them at the venomous tentacula, which only rattles and snaps its jaws around the parasite. “and then we can grab lunch—did you decide on what you wanna eat yet or??”
