↳ This particular card is inspired by an important NPC in a Dungeons and Dragons campaign! Tyr is an agressive Tabaxi general who leads the soldiers of the Raze Empire in the Kingdom of Abjur. Known as the Fyrewatch, their speciality is burning- whether it be enemies, monsters, unruly magical forests, or deserters. As a new designer, I struggled with balancing this card- should he make tokens upon ETB? Or have haste? I think having a decent body to go along with a recruitment effect makes our pal Tyr an efficient protector of his men and a force in his own right!

So yall may not know this, but I play Magic the Gathering sometimes.

I'm not very good yet but I do really enjoy it.

Anyone who also plays MTG is going to hate this next sentence.

I'm building a burn deck.

Anyways how should I decorate my deck box? I have stick on gems but I'm considering swirling red and yellow acrylic paint for the lid portion? I also have sharpies but they dont work well on the plastic

Quick update

I managed to play in a win a mox modern tournament yesterday. It was 5 rounds with a cut to top 8 so I brought RWg burn. Sadly I went 1-3 drop I faced Grixis shadow, Grixis Shadow, Seismic Loam, Junk Shadow. Seismic loam was a quick win but the shadow decks were, of course, a slog which came down to top decks and my luck was just not there. Three topdecked lands in a row sealed my fate. Some takeaways: - collective brutality is brutal and I hate it - Bedlam reveler seems like it could be a sideboard option just for this match up - Maybe ensnaring bridge is the better card? It at least has more applications
